| Hi all, I have recently bought what i thought could be an upgrade for my Glasslite Chewie. The last one was bought off Marcelo, very nice guy IMO, thanks MArcelo for an smooth transaction dude Both Chewies have slightly different stamps and the rifles are also different in colours. One of them is similar as the one showed by Lee in this thread and have a very noticeable silverish to it http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3807-glasslite-chewbacca-rifle the other one looks like the one showed on the rifles section at TIG and its much more shinier than the others versions and the plastic is almost a dark deep blue colour. http://www.imperialgunnery.com/theriflessection.htm Here you are some picts: the stamps: And a comparison shoot along with a regular Kenner rifle: ****EDIT****Mold differernces Any thoughts will be very appreciated. Thanks J.

| First, sorry I can't help with you question, Javi.
I would like to ask you for a favor, could you check if the Glasslite Chewbacca riffle floats or sink, when put in water. I got mine from an eBay auction in 2005, where I won all 8 Glasslite figures from a Brazilian seller, but in 8 different auctions. Mine sinks and so does the Snowtrooper riffle, the others float and I'm sure they are original. |

| Hi Javi Great comparison pictures better than i could muster up Interesting that there could be 2 different GL chewie blasters. I'm glad another silverish one like mine has come to light. My eyes aren't great with small details, but are the 2 blaster molds the same Javi? Regarding the coo stamp, a very minor difference but good find nonetheless. Wolff will have the definitive answer on this one @ Henrik - i float tested my blasters and.... Chewie floats, Snowtrooper sinks. Both brazilian bought (like you i purchased a whole GL set from the same seller) |

| I did the "water test" Henrik and my Glasslite snowtrooper rifle :sink the Chewie´s rifle from stamp 1(the one off Marcelo )much more shinier: sink the one from stamp 2 (silverish) :float the other Kenner Zuckus´s rifles : all float the other Kenner Snowtrooper´s rifles : all float So the silverish one could be just a regular kenner rifle?? |

| Yaeh I noticed already the 2 slight different stamps on the Glasslite Chewie...same goes for his "Kenner" counterpart coo!
I can only repeat myself here: They always go in pairs (minimum). Just think of the raised bar Luke (meccano and glasslite). Its more obvious but you have year up and down on both!
I cannot help on the weapon...sorry....I gave up years ago...maybe I was always fooled! IMO I still lack an original glasslite rifle. From the pictures alone you can not tell sth if you have none yourself. They are just too close to Kenner. |

to add: The glasslite pop up saber is unsinkable!! Whereas the Kenner one can sink if you are tapping it! http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t1730-r2-pop-up-saber-floater-or-sinker |

| A different looking injection point is no difference in the mold if I may allowed to add this! Its a problem in the whole zuckuss rifle discussion! We nee to find other mold differences......far away from the injection points!
And even if so......there was of course a few steel molds used to make these!
No help at all...I know.....but please keep this in mind! |

| Are these harder....like the Snowtrooper rifle??
Also...from the picture I would say I have the "silverish" one like yopu call them!! And not on my glasslite Chewie
So I would also go with the sinker...just from the pics.....but this also could be a repro???

| Thanks for testing Lee and Javi.
My Glaslite Chewbacca riffle is the shiny one, so I'm glad to hear it sinks and the Snowtrooper riffle does too. I was 95% sure mine is the real deal, now I'm 100% sure, so it was great news indeed. |

Mine both rifles comes from brazilian people aswell... On the other hand, how many possiblities there are that two diferent brazilian guys bought regular kenner Zuckus´s rifles to complet his GL Chewies and both received the scarce(IMO) silverish one??weird, right??  |

| I was discussing those Glasslite weapons with Kenneth this past Saturday. I told me he have both carded, but there was a small crack in the bubble on Chewbacca and Snowtrooper, so the weapons could be removed. He called me today and said he did the water test on the two weapons and asked if I would post the results here.
Snowtrooper: sinks Chewbacca (silvery version): floats
So it seems like both this silvery version and the shiny version (which sinks) are legitimate Glasslite weapons. |
