hey guys, the more i am looking at sw stuff, the more i want to collect!!! at the begining i wanted just one figure because it reminded me my childhood and then 3 to go with the first one and then why not collecting the first wave of 12 and then why not collecting the second wave of 9 to have the 21 sw figures and then why not add a tie fighter and a landspeeder...after that i would stop, that's what happened for 3-4 weeks and ding ding, what happened today? why not adding a patrol dewback...aaaahhhh!!! it is non stop...are you like that? that's exactly the same for my comic books...aaaaaah! :I am stupid:

It is impossible to resist. Smile I've stopped collecting vintage a few times but then it draws me back in. I guess the good thing with vintage or star wars collecting in general (or bad depending on which way you look at it) is that the range is massive so there is always the lure to keep adding or upgrading your collection.

I know what you mean lads... Everthing vinatge (and sometimes modern Shocked ) I see I want.

I been trying the "Focus" therapy for the last year and a bit and I found it really enjoyable and I am still learing new stuff all the time.

I don't think you can hit an end point as the vintage line is just so expansive its a more a case of your tastes and focuses change and evolve Smile

I'll second that quote. Smile

For the longest time I considered myself a loose collector ONLY! Then I picked up my first Rebel Commando MOC and it was all down hill from there! Wink

Actually though, I haven't been happier since I made the jump into carded. Very Happy

since i have completed the 21 sw moc run...it is a constant temptation to go further...even 2-3 days ago i did not want to go further, but you know how it is, the more you see others' collection, the more you see interesting pieces and the more you want! 🐰

True Lads! I'm totally hooked on getting the Luke Cards... Just picked up another two variants: HK 65-B Back (blue Sabre) a few days ago and more recently: 77-A Back (rarer Hong Kong release).

Its not to bad if you start a focus and stick with it. Me, I just couldn't do it. I started with the 4-LOM offer cards, then moved to AT AT Driver focus figuring it would be easier to do. HA! Not only do I have those two going, but baggies and completing the multi-packs and mail away figures along with a set of loose figures, cardbacks, and Polish and Mex/SA bootlegs. No

Jeez lads, great thread.

I can totally relate to this as I'm sure most of us can.

This all started about 4 years ago, one drunken night me and my brother looked up the old Transformers we used to have as kids on the Bay and I bought a loose Kup. I then moved onto He-Man, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Action Force, Transformers, Thundercats...basically nostalgic items we owned as kids.

I started focusing on SW and it's funny how it's evolved. I went from buying loose figures and splashing out £30-£40 for a POTF figure to now when I've spent £500 on a carded Palitoy figure.....fucking crazy money...... on a toy!!!

My mates think I'm mental and none of them have a clue on the real value of my collection.

But I get such enjoyment from the hobby, from the hunt of deals and from the friends I've made.

I love it, and I'm still as addicted as I was a few years back.....Lovin the Syndrome!!!
