| Partial interest or a full on focus, who here has interest in Trilogo figures or boxed stuff? Just thought I would see how many collectors are seeking Tri stuff out and what exactly they enjoy collecting etc. Think of this thread as TIG's "Club Trilogo" |

| Well, most of you know that I have a Vader focus. But some of you also know that other than that, my collection is really all over the freaking place. Loose, MOC, Tri-Logos, everything! I do have a few Tri-Logos. I think they're cool. I wouldn't say that I specifically seek them out, but when I see one that's cool, and the price is good, I'll jump on it. Honestly, I've been way more into them since seeing your site, Joe. I really had no idea that there were so many variations, manufacturers, etc. So it's been a hell of a lot of fun for me to go back and see what I have. I printed off the little matrix you have on your site, then went through my Tri's one by one and crossed off which version I have of which figure. I don't own any Tri boxed items, though. And I know that I will probably never have a complete set of Tri-Logo's. Even if I win the lottery, the odds of a Madine coming up for sale, and me being the one that jumps on it first, are pretty slim. But that won't keep me from getting more when I see them. |

| Cool thread Joe, I can really see the appeal of trilogo - especially after receiving my lovely LXWP recently, such a nice carded figure. But I really like the boxed vehicles too... One of my favourite boxed items that I own is the trilogo Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo band. That item is a real thing of beauty to me. Here's mine: I also like how the Trilogo Ewok Village box was larger than its Bi logo brother with added design aspects on the picture. The BWing looks really cool with the logos and would LOVE to own a Tri XWF of course!! Ha I can dream !! Another thing I like about the trilogo boxed vehicles is the design change on items like Imperial Sniper, One man Sand Skimmer, Hoth Rescue, etc - how they kept the cascading 'tri' logos but changed the font to a POTF style. Interesting adaption. Not mine: pour moi Trilogo = très |

| Tad- I would love to see what Trilogos you have mate, maybe you can gather them up for a group shot soon? Again it's great to hear that the site has been helpful to you and have taken more interest in them, they are definitely cooler (IMO) than a lot of Kenner stuff due to all the different companies & countries involved.
Paul - I really am trying hard not to get into boxed Tri stuff because I know I will have an issue with storing it all but it's damn tempting, the logo looks cool on just about anything!
Geordie - I wondered if you had bought any Trilogos for your MOC focus mate! Sounds like you are doing pretty good with it as well!
We need tonnes more limelight threads popping up around here methinks, just to oggle some more toys! |

| Here's my Tri collection so far. I actually just finished reorganizing and photographing my collection room this afternoon. So good timing! They don't all fit on one shelf, so here's the first three on the left. And the rest all fit on this shelf. The Snowtrooper on the right is a Palitoy card, which is why it's on my "Foreign" shelf. |

| Well this is my new focus too. My first figure was a trilogo leai hoth given to me on my 30th, the i decided to colect all the loose vintage figures, im nearly finished them and im nearly 33, speriodically i pick up a trilogo when the price is right, usually i wont go over 50-60 aussie bucks.
To me the appeal is easy, Clear bubbles! i once wrote a whole thread on diferent polymer types. If im right, the yellowed ROTJ bubbles have about 30 years left before becoming dust. If i have guessed the polymer (plastic) type correctly for the Trilogos (PET) then i think that the Trilogos wont ever yellow, and wont turn to dust for hundreds of years, if kept properly.
To me it's all about protecting the investment while keeping away from AFA. Even if the bubble is smashed, i reckon its a better investment thatESB or mint ROTJ.
Oh yeah and the art's pretty cool on some. |

| Being an American, I've always really liked multi-language items. After awhile, the US stuff gets a little bland. But to me, foreign language items have kind of an exotic flair that I really like.

I'm the same way. You get so bored looking at the domestic releases that you dont even want to look at the things no more. It even carries over to my other hobby, stamp collecting. I see the US stuff everyday in the mail, that I pretty much dont care for it anymore. That is unless its all pre-1920. |

| I too love the "exotic" look of foreign MOCs. Tris are super cool.
I have one Tri so far. Does that count? |

| My Luke Tri-logos are some of my favourite MOCs - the variety available even for one charater is amazing and there are still a good number of key Tri pieces that I am looking for.
Many of the MOC I had as a kid for presents were Tri-logo so I do have a kinda soft spot for them but I will probally never own a complete set of every character - I have too many foci as it is.

WTF.... balance things out... A slightly modified quote from the worst excerpt of all SW movies. Yoda: Master Qui-Gon. More to say have you?Qui-Gon Jinn: With your permission, my master, I have encountered a vergence in TIG.Yoda: A vergence, you say?Mace Windu: Located around a person?Qui-Gon Jinn: A droid. His circuits have the highest concentration of tri-chlorians I have seen. It was possible he was concieved by the tri-chlorians.Mace Windu: You refer to the prophecy of The One who will bring balance to TIG. You believe it's this skinny droid? Seriously: The day I will start collecting MOCs, I begin with Trilogos. I like the design of the cards and the fact that I bought my very last figures on Trilogo cards when I was young. But don't count me in yet. |

| Sweet run Shawn, I can't help thinking of that damn Italian stickered MOC whenever I see your run and how it slipped out from under you on the bay that time!
We have to find you a couple more variants I think, a nice Meccano Trilogo would be great! |
