So I just bought a Hoth Rebel Commander as an upgrade, mine has paint loss on his scarf and boots and to be honest I was prepared to shove him in a box , sell him or worse bin him !

Had a quick look at them on the odd chance they were slightly different on the COO etc and low and behold :



Got both sculpts ! LOL

There are a number of Rebel Commander Variants if i remember? more than 2 thats for sure!

I've seen a couple pop up with a shorter scarf as well!!!!

Look at it this way. You're a minty figure collector. You can do variations, but you'll never get them all minty. Will you be able to live with that?

I don't have space or money for extra carded, luckily proofs are easy to store but I am running out of money for them and loose figures, well they are cheap, small and *kind of* interesting so I think its something I will do perhaps, I think maybe just some of the more important variations, I really want to track down a YPS with the comic actually, I know a certain someone who has one in fact

It won't be a full time venture if I do go for loose variations anyway but I think I have a little bit more respect for those that find it an interesting part of the hobby than I did before

And just think, Joe. Theres different colors to the scarves, different mustaches, and the emblems on his chest have variations also to go along with the mold and COO variations. Your journey has just begun.

I mainly collect MOC but as a side hobby i collect loose variants and at the moment im just picking up loose vaders which is a lot of fun!

I sat down for 1 whole hour and checked ALL of my figures for their COO's..

Well it turns out *drum roll please* ........I have bollock all of any interest

Well not strictly true, I have a no COO MIM Squidhead that I could call Ledy and get a few bucks for

I forgot to mention - It was fun ! LOL

I had a couple of Macau figures (Logray/GG)

A few Taiwans - Rancor Keeper + Bib Fortuna

The rest were No COO and Hong Kongs! BOOOO

that's happened to me too.buy another figure to upgrade to a better grade and find out it's a whole different figure.

This bothers me too......I am not being too ambitious because I am never going to collect all the figures I want (too much toot) but I cant help but think I have lets variants go in the past without even knowing!

"I have a no COO MIM Squidhead " is it LFL83 down or LFL1983 up ? & is it LL on the belt? I've got a second MIM MOC squid in the post with a slightly damaged bubble and I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to opening it :pale:

I will have a look tonight James, it came straight off a MIM card so I will see how close it is to a Ledy.
