| I just wanted to share an update to my ROTJ and POTF prototype collection. This year I've been lucky to add a few new pieces I consider to be my collecting grails. I'd like to thank the friends who have helped me to acquire these pieces and those that have offered encouragement and good advice along the way. There are a few other pieces I would love to add to my collection in particular an unpainted first shot Luke Stormtrooper, protomolded Romba, white coat Bib Fortuna or anything else in non production colours, so if you can help with any of these please get in contact. Thanks for looking. Oli ( Top row L-R: Unpainted non-sonic welded first shot Biker Scout head pull test with dark green torso displayed with production limbs; Protomolded 8D8 with detachable head and limbs and no peg holes; Bench shot Gamorrean Guard molded in black with no peg holes; Unpainted first shot Leia Boushh with torso molded in non production brown; Protomolded Rebel Commando molded in white and hand painted with detachable head and no peg holes; Pre-production sample Han Solo non-camo brown trench coat. Middle Row L-R: Dark brown first shot Romba with production hood; Unpainted first shot Leia pink poncho with red hat and first shot blaster; Kenner photography sample first shot Wicket molded in dark brown with dark brown hood and spear; First shot Anakin charcoal robes; Dark brown first shot Romba with non production light brown hood. Bottom Row L-R: Unpainted first shot Imperial Gunner; First shot Lando General with sample blue cape; First Shot Lando General with sample pink cape; First Shot A-Wing Pilot with non production light brown helmet straps).

| That Gam guard is outstanding. Wicket isn't the infamous HK version? |

Thanks James. Yes the Wicket has a HK COO. I believe its one of 3 77 back characters that has the unproduced HK COO. The others are B-Wing Pilot and Prune Face. I understand this is the only loose example with the darker spear. It was used as a Kenner photography sample and can be seen on the POTF card back. |

| What a lineup, congrats Oli. Unpainted FS Leia rocks with her pink poncho, red hat and FS blaster. Is the poncho belt an added Kenner version to complete her? |

| Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words.
Hi Paul, All parts including belt are original to the figure. I always find it a stretch to call something a first shot or pre production unless it is noticeably different to the production version, but technically I guess it's a first shot belt. Slightly more rubbery than a production belt but nothing notably different about it. The blaster has a unique colour and mold. |

| I really appreciate people like yourself & Steve sharing pictures and information on these pieces, as the majority of us are unlikely to own or even have a chance to see one in-hand. Very impressive run. |

Is there also a SW or ESB run in the pipeline, or are you strictly sticking to ROTJ and POTF figures only? Well I had 3 or 4 ESB prototypes but sold them off over the years. Have thought about doing an ESB or SW run many times but it gets tough finding them in non production colours and as much as I'd like to it would be stretching the funds too much especially now with current market prices. Think I might have missed the boat for starting a new run. |

| Oli,
I've only looked at your run over 100 times!! I've praised it in other places and will cheer it on here as well! Top notch my friend! Happy hunting and good luck with the R5 and Boushh runs.

| Can't belief I missed this thread, thanks for bumping Steve! Great collection all toghether. If I had to pick out three - a difficult challenge - it would be Boushh with unpainted helmet, Leia pink Poncho, and off course the black bad ass Gam Guard. What is your top-3, Oli? |

| Don't know why but I love the Han in Trench Coat, is the figure a prototype as well Oli, or just the coat?
Either way I love that jacket! |

| Thanks so much for the kind words guys.
Marco if I had to choose my 3 favourites that would be very difficult but I'd say Leia Poncho and Romba would be in there. I'm also working on a Boushh pre production focus and have just added another first shot which is similar but partly painted below the waist. I'll add an update soon if you are interested.
As for the Han Trenchcoat the figure itself is not a first shot. It is known as a pre production sample. There are some minor unique differences to the production figure but for the most part the coat is what makes it special. The red coat bib, white coat bib and red coat squid head are the same. They are pre production samples and the figures themselves are 'production like'. I understand the Han is far rarer than the Red and White coat Bib and black cape quid head - definitely fewer exist. |
