I got a Luke farmboy from evilbay, complete with blue Obi Wan saber. Actually, the reason I bid. Figure finally arrived, and I'm pretty sure the saber has turned out to be a reproduction. It looks very good, and meets all the specs of the Flat tip normal saber.

BUT it FLOATS in water. Dropped in, placed in and pushed down..... always comes back to the top. Before I contact the seller (For the record the listing just said comes with blue saber), Is there ANY true original that floats, or are they all sinkers?

I can provide a photo or two as well if anyone thinks it will help.

Seeing how the float test can't be definitive for sabers, I'll post a photo or two tomorrow.

Okay, so this is what I have so far. I have four Obi Wan figures. All of them either Hong Kong or Made in Hong Kong for a COO.

I'm pretty sure that I have aquired sabers for at least two of these, so the sabers may not match up 100 percent with what should come with those particular COO's.

I have one DARK color saber, compared to the others. This one, ironically enough, is the only one that SINKS. It is the top saber in the photos. The other three float. As does the one in question, which is the single saber photos.

After reading that the float test is not a very reliable test, and comparing the one in question to the others I have, it seems legit. Now I'm not sure about the one darker one that does sink. LOL

Colour can vary

the three on the right are fake (painted, revalve it,  'other' moulded fake )

Here the 'other' moulded fake is between two revalve its.  It's slightly darker, slightly shorter, thinner tip

& glows under blacklight
