now the Nativity suggestion is giving me ideas - a whole Star Wars themed Nativity would be pretty kick ass cheers

How about some suggestions for what figures to use for which nativity characters What a Face

Yoda as the little Baby Jesus ??

- Three Kings: Lando, Ben Kenobi, and Imperial Dignitary.
- Shepherds: Nikto, Weequay, and Barada   Or Jawas
- Ox: Dionago
- Sheep: Couple of Wickets standing on arms and legs?
- Camels (for the Kings): Taun Taun, Dewback
- Star: Small Death Star (Titanium Series, http://www.rebelscum.com/Titanium/sw06TSdeathstarls.jpg )
- Angel: Ugnaught with elf wings attached Very Happy

What can we use for the Mule? unsure

Those are great ideas Marco. With all those animals somehow you would have to incorporate yakface. Obviously using vintage the only fitting character for Mary would have to be leia. Joseph....Han solo maybe or general madine? If your wanting the shepherds to be human use han hoth, rebel commander, and rebel soldier.

All excellent suggestions Marco and Bryan cheers

I am thinking that I may want to stick with mostly the main characters for the scene . I will use pretty worn figures so that I can customize them a little and/or touch them up to look good and also not feel bad about glueing appropriate props to them .

I think it would be pretty funny to do it as if the figures are in a "school play" and are in slightly bad costumes . If I could find a nativity set that is the same scale and has removable clothes that would be perfect but otherwise my wife and I will have to make clothes .

how about this cast :

Mary : Leia of course cheers

Joseph : Han

Jesus : Yoda body with Luke Head What a Face

Three Kings: Lando , Ben Kenobi , and Imperial Dignitary - I think Yoda would be funnier .

Shepherds: Nikto, Weequay, and Barada or Jawas - all good choices thinking

other shepard possibilities - Boba Fett (he's got to be in the scene somewhere anyway Twisted Evil ) If I stick with mostly the original Star Wars figures then maby some of the Cantina Aliens , Jawas or Tuskens ???

Ox: Dionago - hmmm , not sure  unsure

Sheep: 3 Wickets with white cottony material glued to their hoods Very Happy

Camels (for the Kings) : Taun Taun , Dewback - both good ideas but I think Chewy as the front of a camel with a larger ewok (or 2 ?) figure behind him as the hump(s) covered with a blanket would be hilarious rofl

Mule : Power Droid with donkey ears attached maby Rolling Eyes

Star : Small Death Star - YES !!!

Angels : R2 and C-3po with angel wings Cool

Innkeeper : Vader !!  I will have to have a seperate Inn type building with vader pointing towards the stable .

Stable : maby a Dagohba playset that I modify pretty heaily some how ?

Star : Small Death Star - YES !!!

Other figures that could be used somewhere - Stormtrooper , DS Commander , DS Droid & R5-D4

Yes , my wife and I have been putting serious thought into this little project and we plan to attempt it lol!

More suggestions ????

He he great ideas for the nativity scene Bryan, Marco and Jim. Although probably too short notice for 2014, but this nativity scene would make a great pic for the December entry of a TIG  calender!!!! Each month could depict a different scene using vintage figures Very Happy

Thanks Jay - I am glad you like them cheers

Great pics man - I look forward to seeing more  popcorn

If you have trouble getting any of the hats to stay on you can use that sticky putty (used to hang posters and stuff) ...

it worked real well for my Santa C-3po  What a Face
