This might not be best place so please forgive me my master!

I have the majority of the Vintage Collection 2010 on cardback in cases hanging on the wall. However am toying with the idea of getting rid of some of the variations (revenge of the jedi, foil editions, etc) and then opening the rest carefully and keeping the cardbacks (not the bubble) so I can display them in my cabinet and get my walls back.

But feel that I would regret this. What is the feeling in regards to mint loose verses mint / v.good cardback collections?

Hi mate, being modern from an investment point of view they are basically worthless anyway, if you kept them carded for the next 20 years they might increase in value maybe a dollar or two, they would probably still be worth less than what you paid for them.
Id do what ever makes you happy, i totally understand you not wanting them to take up space, i personally think if you want to take them off the cards, do it, have fun, save space, obviously taking them off the cards they will be worth even less than they are now, but its no huge loss, we are only talking about a very small amount of money.
cheers

Yep, bust them open. Save your wall space for vintage Wink , the modern stuff can still display well loose in a smaller cabinet.

Worthless sounds a rash description for them.

Due to the poor distribution of some of those figures, there are those which command high prices. If I wanted to raise cash in a hurry there's a few TVC figures which could fetch more than some of my ROTJ MOCs.

Whether this is just short-term panic buyers - or these figures actually have long term worth - remains to be seen, of course.

This set was very cool though and I am still selling them like hotcakes. I would say bust them out because there are still enough out there that if you changed your mind....you could buy more.
