Well I finally got my collection room to where I consider it "done". It took over a year from the time we bought our house till now for me to get it to where I felt it was finished. And I'm looking at it now thinking there's room for improvement. But it's really never done. Just on pause.

Here's a few pics. TIGers will notice there isn't a Star Wars display in these pics. That display case is in the hallway and isn't done to my liking to share pics yet. That's next.

The two shelves I spent the most time on today. All items from my childhood. And not items I've bought I had when I was a kid. These are actually my old toys.


My old teddy given to me by my grandmother. The dogs are also from my grandmother. The story behind them is when we used to go visit I'd try and play with them, and my mom would have a fit. My grandmother would say it was ok but mom wouldn't let me. So one day after we visited a package came in the mail with my name on it and it was the dogs. Funny thing is the medium one has a crack in it but not from me. My mom knocked it over dusting one day. HAHA.


I've had the elephant lamp as long as I can recall. The creepy blue dog puppet has been around about as long.


The home made ceramic transport truck ages me a bit doesn't it?

Paul, that is a great collection you have going there. 
Love the blue dog puppet. It brings back memories. I had a brown one and my sister had a pink one. It must have been a Canadian thing.

Nice wok, Paul, that room's looking well cool! Good to see the embossed MOTU displays back up, the childhood die cast cars, and I like the way you draped the HULK tee and used it as part of the display

(Technically spoken it is a Star Wars collection limelight as I saw at least one Vader, one Powerdroid , and one R5-D4.  )

Favorite things-tabletop Pac-Man, large E.T. (what is it?), He-Man displays (pure awesome), and the fact that the yellowed childhood Leia is proudly displayed.

What a kickass display! It's so great that you were able to hold onto so many of your childhood toys. And I love the story about the dogs.
