Hey Jay, thanks taht is very nice from you! The problem will be the size of the images. You know photoshop and I think you can imagine having all pictures, labels, arrows, writings in seperate levels....it is a mess my friend!! LOL...and HUGE too! I will have a look what to change and let you know. Damn...a fe minutes ago I was near the finishing line |

| agreed with the arrows tough.....I started (later) to only use the top of the arrow to "point" sth. (like dots) but also give a position (angle) I will still use the "full" arrow to show "up" and "down"....getting it sorted...oh my dear...what have you donew to me!!!!! |

I will have a look what to change and let you know. I know but again, if I can help bang some stuff out, let me know and we can work out how best to do it. If not, no worries. Just wanted to lend a helping hand if I could! And as far as the numbering, I like it. In my head I see the future references to COOs being spoken of / called something like this for reference: "I am looking for a Ben Kenobi 1x01 and a 3x10... does anybody have one for sale or trade?"BAM! a quick look at the guide and they is easy to spot. That will work and although in the rare cases you add something new, it will still work excellently... "I am looking for 1x72 and a 3x11"It really is irrelevant if they are sequential, as long as they are unique and use the family separation (1x, 2x, etc). It will work perfectly! It all seems to work very nice and neat in my head and again we can then cross-reference the old COO#s to the new COO#s very easily and simply. Nice!!!!! Great work as always, Wolff! cheers! |

| Wolff, it's fantastic that you have found the motivation and time to work on a new COO guide, and that you are happy to receive constructive feedback to assist with its development. Like many others here, I'll be very happy to see the results, and if I can help in anyway, I will. Cheers Steve |

Good point... where does Khetanna stand? If I had the skills, I personally would be working on a Lars Homestead for a proper place to display my Luke FBs or a nice Cloud City room or corridor for my Leia Bespins to chill in ... but I don't. Anyway................................ cCc |

| Okay...I try now to response what will be changed and how and what not. I was also flooded with emails and pms through three boards (rebelscum has no right of speech, because I cannot edit the first post ) So thanks for all your help. I heard you all and thought about everything! So what do we have now: 1. Families:- "framed" now for better overview. Keeps the pictures compact for better comparison between the families. - frame color is not so bright anymore. Noone will get bleeding eyes...though - the numbers of the families are colored in the same way then the frames. It is now easy to understand the relationship between frames and I, II, III etc - The gaps between the groups within a family do stay!! The reason is simple...it would be too confusing, especially when the groups are larger, the numbers of the coos differ (2x HK, but 3x altered which can happen...modifications etc.) and mostly if we have right and left leg....it would get out of control! - Therefore I added a large arrow, same color as the frame and family numbers. Relationsship is clear The arrows show when a group is altered. 2. Markings I will change (and be more strict hopefully) the way the differences are marked. As Marco pointed out he is confused with the arrows. I will use: - arrows (one arrowhead) for showing movement (up and down) - Arrows with two arrowheads for distance change - arrowhead only for pointing I hope this helps. For some sheets it is already too late but will do my best to change and keep in mind for future sheets! 3. Numbering- I personally think if we start with Ia, Ib, IIa, IIIb, this will get out of hand. I agree that adding coos will make it easier, but confusion will be higher IMO, especially with typing/reading errors and so on....IIb or IIIb??? - The second point is if sth needs to be added it will be mostyl added on HK and the later altered ones...so numbering family after family also won't make it all better. I agree that this is a real problem regarding Marco's aspect of old guides and threads...now and in future. :/ I also see now the point Marco is referring to: The whole LL guide i.e. is written down with the "old" numbers.....well...that is a problem too. |

| Uhh...forgot: I already had the idea in mind of a guide for "purists"...LOL Let me just finish this first. I think a simple guide is easy to make up afterwards! ANH is the most complicated part! I gave up several times but this time I won't. I risk to make mistakes, but heck...better one with mistakes again then nothing...huh??? No seriously...sometimes it is strange on ANH. It is die hard to differe osme families on Jawa, Tusken, Leia, to only name a few (Vader will kill you). There is a few reasons: - typeface can be different, although it seems to be the same family (Jawa, Tusken) - Parts were wildly mixed up (Jawa, Tusken) - The differences moldwise are waaaay too tiny (Vader; Snag) - mold was sometimes changed within the same family - Sometimes we have mold differences although it has the same stamp (materialwise, or sometimes a copy of a copy was "modified") It is a mess on ANH!!!! So I hope you will excuse me if ...one day...someone calls me wrong... |

| @Wolff.....Nice work on the Kenobi layout But I think the numbers confuse things a little and maybe you should use a combination of numbers/letters? Take for example the fett images... 5 same as 9 6 same as 10 13 same as 17 14 same as 18 |

| stupid me....there is a solution on the numbering that allows additions easily!
I (indicating family) 1 (indicating unaltered mold), 2(indicating first alteration), 3 etc a (indicating Hk version 1), b (inidcating HK version 2), same on altered coos
So.....one steelmold 3 times altered is then I 1c -->I 2c --> I 3c Hks on one family are then I 1a, I 1b, I 1c
I 1a 1b 1c 2a 2b 2c 3a 3b 3c
II 1a 1b 1c 2a 2b 2c 3a 3b 3c
etc...etc
sounds good??
edit: sorry walkie saw your post too late!
edit2: My sytem doesn't work on "two legged figures" and on additional coos (hardT vs softT)
DAMN IT!!! |

| walkie...this wouldn't work. If altered they would need a following number. so not 07b and 08b, more 9 and 10.
It wouldn;t make sense to give a new number to altered coos, but when it is two legs to give "a" and "b".
Anyway...this system may have died anyway.
I will stick up maybe to the one posted above.
System for stamps on one leg:
I: 1a / 1b / 1c II: 1a / 1b --> 2a /2b --> 3a / 3b
Hardcore Version: I am searching #I:1c to complete my MIHK run PURIST VERSION: LL = #II:3 (no matter if a or b....both are Ledy)
System for stamps on two legs:
I: L1a / L1b / R1a / R1b II: L1a / L1b / R1a / R1b --> L2a /L2b / R2a / R2b--> / L3a / L3b / R3a / R3b
Hardcore Version: I am searching #II:2ab to complete my run PURIST VERSION: LL = #II:3 (no matter if aa, ab, bb, ba....all four are Ledy)
STill one problem to solve....the modifications...

| Clear presentation! Just change the single arrow head in III-1b (and -2b) in a double arrow head to indicate distance instead of shift (for Ben Kenobi). |

| Okay, this is going on well (I hope): - 15 sheets are done (about 200 Coos) - 2 more will be finished today! Then we 17 that needs to be reviewed by my "team" ...LOL...we are actually two guys! And I am happy Lee is helping me so much!!! So what is left?? 4 more sheets: - Leia (much research needed and need a few pictures) - R5 (waiting for pics) - R2 (same here...but he is almost done!) - Luke Pilot...(Huge problem, because I just noticed there is many many many more ) Okay...these 4 troublemakers will last I guess, but I thnk the rest could go online on Monday! | A bit math: Coo Guide 3.0 ANH: about 280 Coos Coo Guide 1.0 ANH: about 154 Coos
That makes 126 NEW COOs! |
