It must have cost you tons of hours/lack of sleep to reach this point. This guide is so important for so many collectors, so you really deserve all the kudos that can be given!!! I don't take your guides/work for granted at all, and neither should anybody! Kudos to Lee M and all the other great collectors helping you finish this guide also of course!

I woke up this morning having again 5 emails concerning the ANH guide....*sigh*...LOL

Seriously:Great you guys are doing everthing to keep me busy and of course to complete the ANH sheets! Therefore no new ESB sheets on Monday, but I will start reworking the ANH figures! (before my head explodes on saving to much hints, emails, pics etc)

Main issue at the moment:

R2/R5: the 1978 Coos. Pattejan noticed 4 different by now  ....I checked again mine and also have two (missed one...hahahah)...so HK1978 is complete!!

Anyway....just worked on Marco's, pattejans and Stef pics...as well as on my old ones and the ones from my archive...it is a huge mess!!!!

PS: Working on 5 projects at the moment...so everyone who contacted me...please be patient...I only have 10 fingers and one brain.....anyone in for beeing my assistent (no cash..sorry guys) ?? ....)

Sorry for the confusion on R2/R5 ... just wanted to help and was a little confused myself on the different R5 78 COOs.   

Two weeks ago I noticed one of my R5s has another COO than Wolff's pictured II1a. It has the "8" slightly shifted upwards (as the II1a has) but with a bigger distance to the "7".

When I saw Marco's pics of the LL R2 78 which both have the "8" aligned with the "7" but shifted dots (in front of the "I" and behind the "I") I checked my R5s again and realised I have three different 78 COOs (not just two).  

The third one has a shifted dot behind the "I" and the "8" is aligned with the "7" like one of Marco's LL R2.

So most likely there must be four different COOs on R2/R5 1978! (And maybe four different COOs on the 1978 LL R2???)

It will be a pain to collect all four different Lili Ledy 1978 R2s.

So I am very interested to see whether these will show up in the future.  
Maybe there is hope, and the Lili Ledy factory never got the steel moulds for V-2a and V-2d.

...that is an option I also have in mind! But inspecting all of them that close would kill me. Maybe it is two different batches at all....future will tell.


From what I have recieved and talking with guys, I will give a short summary what is going on in the background. I will do that to also remind myself..LOL


1. Patrick send me the (probably) missing China Luke Pilot.

2. Alex pointed me to another R5-family! The question would be: Is it an used overstock part from R2 used for R5 or not?!?!?

3. Leia is still a bummer to me. The two GL coos do not combine correctly...or there is three?? It is very strange!

Anyway...this weekend I am totally booked. Let us hope for next weekend to get a few things sorted!

Those leia COO's are a headf**k, who knows what those brazilians got up to?? I've had 6 in hand now and have checked several others via photos and as far as I've seen there are still only two non matching GL coo's. Bizarre!!

Same here...I dont get it!....But maybe it is like it is...just fucked up!!   

Cheers for the latest two updates, I'm currently re-organising/documenting my collection and were possible cross-reference both coo-guides for completeness.

Trouble is I'm finding quiet a few gaps

In regards to R5D4 the pictures are taken with the legs at 3 oclock & 9 oclock ( I'm guessing )  In this position 'Made' is close to 12 oclock.

what about this one- or it doesn't really matter  :scratch:
