| Ok so this arrived in the mail today. It's a long story but I ordered something from a seller in Canada and he sent the wrong figure. He sent this one! And I've been trying to contact him for days now trying to get tracking info and when it arrived today I tried messaging him about the mixup and he still won't respond. So I'm hoping to accomplish 2 things here. First see if anyone on this forum ended up with my Super Powers toy instead! If you recognize this as something you ordered shoot me a PM with the figure you got and if it's the right one then maybe we can do a swap absent the incommunicado seller. And second, get some information on this figure. I've never seen anything like it. It appears to be a Canadian Empire Strikes Back AT-AT commander but with a Return of the Jedi sticker on it. Anyone have any input on this line? |

| I can help..
These are called "Transition" cards. In a nutshell, old ESB stock was upgraded to have the ROTJ identifiers. Since it was around the release of US 48bks, they basically turned the ESB cards into pseudo-48bks.
Three labels as you can see are:
ROTJ logo over the ESB logo Free Ackbar Circle covering whatever promo was there (if any) Free Ackbar description on the lower 1/2 of the back of the card.
Not sure what you spent on the Super Powers card, but this guy can bring in $250-$500 (range is odd on these)
edit: Looks like it was $299 obo

| Ah, yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the input, I didn't realize it was that valuable. Well hopefully someone recognizes it and emails me or the seller finally replies. Hate for the buyer to miss out on this piece! (and I want my figure too, haha) |

| You guessed correctly! Although there are very few extremely rare Super Powers figures from that same seller, haha. While I admit I got a steal at $220 after shipping... the first Nibo I picked up was over $350, and I've heard they can also go as high as $500. I've only seen two of these, and I bought them both. Now if I can only GET them both...
But yes I guess I shouldn't complain, it's a cool piece regardless!
Any idea on numbers for this guy and variation? Seeing what DarthBerizing said about the transition cards, this may open up a whole new avenue of variation collecting for me! So did they only do the Canadian cardbacks or were there transition cards for US too? |

| Thanks for the links. Some great resources. I feel like I've been constantly reading since I found this board, so much stuff to learn. So I guess they are only on Canada cards and there were only a handful released on those cards. The collection DarthScott has on RS is very appealing to me. I like to take small subsets like this and run with it. Seems like it could get pricey though! |

| It looks like the seller lives only about 30 minutes from me. If you need some help, just let me know. BTW, Great MOC:clap: |

| Thanks for the offer Commander Clint. The proper owners now have the correct toys! Got the Penguin a few days ago, and the other guy got his on Friday. I was kind of sad to see it go after reading about the significance of the variation. Something to keep my eyes on in the future. |
