Subject: OT - The Dark Side of Star Trek: Do You See It Too? Sat Jun 22, 2013 6:23 am
This morning Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) was aired on a dutch television channel. I just came back from running, was having my breakfast and thought, 'Hey I have never watched this movie, why not just enjoy it on my free Saturday morning?'. And so I did.
Surprisingly, there was a scene with close ups of the USS Enterprsie in which it seemed that the special effect makers had included a little nod to the first Star Wars movie. But I was not sure, it was only a small detail, and maybe I had seen it all wrong. So I searched for the scene on youtube, and after watching it, I still think there might be a Star Wars Easter egg there.
Try to find it yourself, it is somewhere between 0:30 and 0:60.
What do you think, do my Star Wars infected brains see things which aren't there, or do I have a point here?

I haven't seen that movie in years. Nicely done spotting that Marco. I wouldn't have seen it.

The only ST movie I've seen was the JJ reboot Thought the original series was crap and dated when it was first on TV. Lots of guys gazing at monitors from memory.
