| That's a removable limbs version ? Therefore won't have the screw in the back. The RL LL C3PO is creamy white plastic so IMO that's just a stripped figure. http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t2135p570-the-lili-ledy-discussion-thread |

| I agree, it looks like it has had the finished removed. Looks like there is a little bit of the finish left on the back of the left leg joint where it meets the torso. Here is the discussion from a couple of weeks ago. http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t4863-strange-did-you-said-strange-c3po |

| [quote="aussiejames"]Same as this one: Hey I actually was watching this one myself on ebay not so long ago and had my doubts about it ! as you can still see some paint on it ! but with mine there is no evidence of him being stripped and of course it would be the removable Limbs version going with the Date on him (Brain freeze for a min there). If this was a stripped figure would it be this colour underneath ? obviously not Ledy or would be white then am I correct ! Thanks Vince

| many different colours are possible including just one colour like the ones in the bottom row. ( the use of a flash has made it hard to say for sure) Brake fluid most commonly used for paint stripping (or paint stripper ) can remove ALL remnants of paint or chrome metalizing. Or not done 'properly' sometimes remnants will remain. what do your 'joints' look like? The creamy white vs tanned joints may not be what the base plastic colour is but how the plastic looks when broken off the sprue? Regardless, IF all known LL RL C3POs have the creamy white joints your example should as well. Is the torso in two halves ( I don't think so ?) |

Funny you should say that but my torso is in two halves ! everything comes apart the legs arms torso , there is a piece of clear plastic the arms go into inside but there is not one for the legs !
I will take some pictures of him apart tomorrow and the joints also as am not sure about them. I just know he all comes apart by memory !
When the chrome is stripped off does it not damage the figure in anyway ??
I am off to bed at the moment as working in the morning but I will get they pics took and uploaded as soon as I get home.
Thanks

| I am surprised to see the torso in 2 halves, not having the white joints indicates to me it's a Kenner figure. |

| Ok so would say its not a ledy then ! would you still say its a stripped figure ? Am gonna try contact the buyer of the one that was on eBay ! See if it comes apart ! Actually am sure I asked the seller on eBay a few questions , ill check them out also. I also know of another c-3po collector on rebelscum that has one ! Ill find out more on his also.
I wonder if the serial numbers that is on the inside would match a regular Kenner c-3po if took apart. Although not sure if this would mean anything.
Thanks

| First of all...great digging that thread up AJ....must have missed it in 2010 when it was bumbed the last time!! Second....I dont know where to start but there is a lot of questionmarks if you ask me! 1. The 3-Pos look duller and more pale compared to the one from the OP...dont you guys think so? (See also the pictures from Ty) 2. Figures LL never produced: Jawa vinyl cape Luke Farmboy And why oh why is there a modern piece on the pictures?? POTF SCANNING CREW MEMBER???? You found it?? It is on the picture to the right below! On the far right behind the Leia Endor! Interesting it was removed for the close-up  |

Guys, hope you dont mind me bumping this one but I was very curious what it was. The solid limb C3PO has a screw. Doesnt the RL limb C3PO have the metal rivet? So isnt this a Droids C3PO with the molded rivet? |

| Ah OK so not Droids because wrong COO.
But still I though removable limbs C3PO had a metal rivet in the back rather than a molded one?? |

| I thought it was a metal rivet that was painted? See Steve's RL C3PO EP with no bolt/rivet in the back. |

| Isn't Steve's EP the fixed limbs version of the C-3PO figure?

| I'm fairly sure its a removable limbs unless I've got myself mixed up. Doesn't it have LFL 1982 copyright? |

| Guys Steve's EP is RL Version I have just picked up the same one , came from the same find. With Regards to my yellow fig being discussed I would love to find out what it is, it has been a head scratcher of mine for years , I definitely don't think its a stripped figure due to the fact both the torso and head come apart as well as the limbs. As Oli confirms also the RL has a metal Rivet and this has a molded one. Thanks Vince |
