| I thought we should have a thread about Ebay Navigating. I found this Ebay rule regarding people who put little disclaimers about what they "know" regarding authenticity. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/authenticity-disclaimers.html - ebay wrote:

What are the guidelines?
Allowed Sellers can use statements like these to describe an item they know is authentic:
"Guaranteed authentic."
"100% authentic or your money back."
Not Allowed Sellers are not allowed to:
List items that aren't authentic
List items if they're not sure if they are authentic
In addition, sellers can't disclaim authenticity of their item by stating, for example:
"I cannot guarantee the authenticity of this item, so please bid accordingly."
"Vintage handbag Chanel???"
"Looks like this could be a Louis Vuitton bag"
"I believe this is painted by Degas, but I can’t be sure."
"I got this from an estate sale, so I have no idea if it’s real or not."
"The autograph looks real to me."
"I’m no expert, so look at the pictures and decide for yourself if it’s real."

| I know this won't stop most listings, but I think if a dispute arises or there is a dispute, it almost makes it a closed case. |

| I think at this point of time that ebay will absolutely not care as to what you do as long as you bring in the cash for them and that they don't get in serious trouble on fake or reproduced item as long as it is not mass produced and is an evident "jump in your face, its fake " deal.
There is so much noise going on with this company's website that even if you file a complaint it may take the time that the auction is on to get something done.It is just up to the buyers to be smart enough and educate themselves on the scams that are going on on this site.
I know that has a collector i am not going to put down 200$ on a toy when i see that something does not look right. I know that if there is only one picture for an expensive thing to make sure that the pic was not some random pic taken from the net or borrowed from someone else. I will ask for more pics to make sure.
cheers |

| Here is the exact link. I'll also edit in the first post.

The point is that, in the event of an issue, you can point to Ebay's own policy!
