Subject: Question about making customs? Sun May 05, 2013 11:58 pm
I'm looking to make some customized figures from some of my vintage junk pile. If theres any customizers out there what glue, plastic fill (build up to resculpt) and paint works the best for these types of applications? Thanks

I dabble in customs . The paints I use are Testors Model Master acrylics . Here is a link to a pretty good site with some goood custom tips : http://www.figurerealm.com/viewcustomtutorial.php
Commander Clint (here at TIG) does customs too and sent me a cool link to another great customizing site but I must have forgot to save it Hopefully he will chime in and tell us both what that link was

Here is another thread that had a few questions about customizing. http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t5499-paint-your-figures
Here is the web site that James is trying to remember. http://www.ffurg.com/articles/basics.htm
Hope this helps and good luck and have some fun. Don't forget to show off your finished work in the main thread.

as far as what works best like James said Testors Model Master or any other hobby type paint I use a special clear coat first that helps adhere the paint better will get the name for you all yo can get it from auto supply stores loke JB auto either crazy glue or model glue works great as far as fillers Squadron White Putty works great for filling and sculpting I use it for my plastic models. Hope this helps.
