RIP Jeff Sad

Trapped in purgatory
A lifeless object, alive
Awaiting reprisal
Death will be their acquisition

The sky is turning red
Return to power draws near
Fall into me, the sky's crimson tears
Abolish the rules made of stone

Pierced from below, souls of my treacherous past
Betrayed by many, now ornaments dripping above

Awaiting the hour of reprisal
Your time slips away

Raining blood
From a lacerated sky
Bleeding its horror
Creating my structure
Now I shall reign in blood!

Saw Slayer back in '88 at the Birmingham Hummingbird. They were immense. RIP Jeff.

RIP Jeff.

It sucks... not much more to say really.

Slayer had a big, if not the biggest impact on me as a teen. I still love 'em to this day.

My quote from my high school year book... yeah, I wasn't going to do one because I thought the whole yearbook thing was lame, but then one quote came to mind....

"There's only one way out of here................
Piece by piece"

Slayer had (and continues to have) a impact on my life too Psyber . I was introduced to Slayer in 1986 by my dear friend Bennet Howard II - we were in the Library at our highschool playing chess and listening to our walkmans . At that moment we did not know each other but we noticed that we were both listeningto some heavy shit - I'm like "what are you listening to" and he wanted to know what I was listening to . Turns out he was listening to Slayer and I was listening to Venom - we swapped cassettes and were best friends from that moment on . We were quite the strange pair - me a 6'3" white dude , long hair , leather Jacket and him a skinny , 5' tall (if he was standing on his tip toes) black dude that was prone to wearing jester hats (and one hell of a guitar shreder) Very Happy
Back in the 80's you can immagine the strange looks we would get when we would head into the metal section at the malls record store lol!

Bennet passed away a few years ago and it broke my heart - I still love Slayer but I can't listen to them without thinking of my bro Sad
