I might need your help again with a Paypal dispute. I found an auction last week that listed an Obi-Wan double telescoping lightsaber in the auction. Being that I have been looking for the Obi-Wan and Vader DTs for about four years now, I took a shot at the auction. The guy claims that he is the original owner (you know the spiel). Anyway, I haven't received the box yet but I am just going to open the box and post pictures here on Imperial Gunnery of the DT. If you wouldn't mind writing another letter to Paypal for me like you did a year ago when I bought a fake DT farmboy and a vinyl cape Jawa, I would be so appreciative. In return I have a cup filled with a bunch of repros that I will send to the Imperial Gunnery for you to put up as reference on your site. So if you could write another letter DarthBerizing I would really appreciate it. Like I said, give my your addy and I will send you all of the repros I have collected over the years for helping me out again.

Back to the details of the auction. I asked the guy about the double telescoping saber and he said he is the original owner, but once you guys look at the blurry DT picture you can see why I'm 95% sure this will be a repro DT. I'm hoping it is the real deal but I highly doubt it. Also, I'm up for constructive criticism because I know that taking risks like this is not best practices. The only reason I bid on it was because it was not listed under vintage Star Wars, so I don't think a lot of people seen this auction. That or I was the only knuckle head that took the risk.

Finally- Any takers on the DT being real? Doubtful . I will post pictures when I get the package. The seller said there were no markings on the hilt so I'm not sure what to think yet. Last time I got a fake DT, the dude tried scratching off the two parallel lines that RevalveIT puts on his repros.

I don't see the problem if the item is fake, paypal will back you the buyer.

Paypal asks you to get a professional opinion from a third party to prove that the item is in fact fake. At least that is what their policy was a year ago. Perhaps their policies changed.
