Just checked out my bilogo tiefighterbox for the POTB thread when i found this sticker


Are they common?
I have never seen them before
Was it a meccano SW factory in france?

Hi.

Bilogo stickers are often found on toys retailed in UK and France.

A white "Made in France" sticker can be found also on this BD TIE Fighter, and also on the second type bilogo BD X-Wing Fighter. Generally, it covers the French mention printed on the box - I think it was more likely used for UK retailing.

The black sticker shown here is also for UK retailing ; but I've seen a full-French version as well. For example, my Bilogo TIE Interceptor has a black sticker like this one, but it's printed "Moulé en France / Assemblé en Angleterre".

I've also seen this black sticker on Bilogo Y-Wing.

The ROTJ era was the time of product globalization and licensees were obliged to comply with regulation and declare the origin of the toy - so they used stickers when the origin printed was incorrect or written in another language.
