Hey Guys, I am looking for people who have cracked open loose AFA figures & who still own the once graded figure. If you have done that, would you please send me a picture of the figure & PM me the grade it received prior? I want to make a "Guess the grade" game, this could be really cool or really stupid but I want to give it a go regardless. The end result of this could be a visual grading guide, which could be good for the community as a whole. Ty! Pat

hey what about taking a reverse approach at it too ? If someone has some figures they plan on sending in to afa they could take "before" pics and then send to afa to see what it gets graded . What made me think of this is I actually have 3 figures that I plan on sending into afa . I have been holding onto them for 2 years or more "planning" on sending them in This would give me a good excuse to get off my ass and do it . Might even be a fun idea to make a competition of it . Folks could post the pics of the figures before they are sent in and every one else can take a guess at what the AFA grade would be and/or see what everyones "C scale" opinion is . It would be really cool to see other peoples figures too in before and after afa shots If this sounds cool to anyone I will be glad to post pics of the ones I plan on sending in

Please send me a PM if you want the two I have. I have some before grade and after grade shots, although I can't remember if I have rear shots of the two prior to grading.

I posted this in another thread but really meant to put it here.... OK, so here is an AFA75 Bespin Leia about to be freed!!!! Quick hole at the base...... A POP and the corner broke, then it was just a pair of needle nose holding on and quick pull and voila! For an AFA75, I think she is fantastic. No rubs on her hair (yah! - just a shine in the pic - no rub on her bun), The gold trim to gown is darkened but there. Tiny rubs to hands a tad factory hair paint muck up lower right side of face where hair is above her jaw line, minor. She is in great shape. If that is AFA75, then what caused it to grade low? If she is a 75, I shudder to think what my other loose figs would get seeing she is in as good or better than most my collection. So.......... Tiny hand rubs? 5 points a hand? Darkened trim 5 points? Factory paint muck up on front right hair by jaw? 5-10 points? Anyway......... I might have another soon. If this is any indication of AFA75s, I will be on the lookout for good deals on them and free the figures again. cheers

I know very little of AFA, but I hear they have a population report that shows how many of each item was graded. Sooooooooo... should I send them an email and tell them to remove this one and tell them why I did?
