I'm wondering how easy it is to price up a vintage collection.

I'm ok with my loose figures but i have 70+ carded figures (non are AFA graded) ranging from 12 backs to the later ROTJ 79 backs.

Is there a topic on here or a good reference site to help?

Thank you

Hi mate They is no "rule" on how to a value a collection as no collection is ever the same!

The two best resources are ebay completed listings or asking with pics on the Forums here SWFUK, SWCC and Rebelscum cheers

If your looking for a serious valuation get those pics up

Liam is spot on

Ebay ended auctions are great resources for valuation, in addition to sales in the classifieds.

FWIW I just bought and priced out a 56 MOC collection and for the most part Ebay auctions end pricing gave me a fairly accurate picture. You'll have to adjust for condition, rarity, punch or unpunch, etc.. but overall a good way to gauge.

thank you both, looks like i'll have to dg my checklist out and start trawling ebay.

the reason i ask is because i'm considering down sizing my collection, but i'm unsure at the moment as it's something i feel i may regret later in life Sad

Current collections.

1.Loose Kenner run inc Droids/Ewoks/Major Variants (missing 1 figure Sise Fromm)
2.Loose Lili Ledy run (incomplete)
3.Loose Foreign Variants PBP/Glasslite etc (incomplete)
4.MOC Kenner/Palitoy Figure Collection (70+)
5.Complete Loose Vehicle Collection
6.Incomplete Playset Collection (Downsized and sold my cardboard one's i.e. Sears)
7.Playset Instruction/Leaflet/Catalogue Collection (Kenner/Palitoy/Kenner Canada bi-lingual/etc) (100+ items)

Hi mate.

I would recommend you sit down and just think what the best option is for you. If you still feel you need to let some pieces go make sure they are pieces you wont miss that i.e least favourite characters
Its up to you really just make sure you are clear in your mind what you want to do Smile
