| a few weeks ago, I went in my parents attic to put some order. I came across a old yellowed A4 paper that brought back sweet memories! As a kid, I used to cut off the names from the cards and sent them to the Belgian importer as part of the CLIPPER OFFER. I don't know why I never sent those If you can read on the picture some names have been translated into French... |

| That's a really nice find!!! Maybe it was wise thing not to send them to Kenner to collect your bounty at that time, it might have saved you from a big childhood disappointment..... http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t1872-a-little-star-wars-story |

I tried to much as much as possible as the line was discontinued at that time and the shop sell them at reduced price for something like 2 USD., which was still a bunch of money. That's probably when I bought Yakface (I would never had bought it at the regular price, not cool enough...at least for me) and a few others. |

| Seeing those name plates reminded me of when my mother found a number of them a few years ago along with these Palitoy 'offers' which I received in the post. I remember sending off for some items (which seemed to take forever to arrive). When the package did arrive, I was very disapointed to find a letter explaining that they had run out of Hoth Wampa's. It was another 10 years before I finally got one. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] The post mark on this one is dated 8th October 1984 (offer expired 31st October). [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Does anyone else remember getting these in the post? |

| Some great paperwork shown here.
Cantina_patron, I've seen that first batch before. Craig_T has one of those which you can see in the Mailer Guide near the bottom of the page. |

| Alex that's a nice find and great memories Steve - nice paperwork items! I never sent off for any of the offers, but in some ways I think it's good that you ended up with all that cool paperwork and envelope rather than the Wampa which you got 10 years later lol. That's cool you kept all the paperwork CraigT had the same which can be seen Here along with the Palitoy letter. One thing I liked too was that the returns address was in Erdington, Birmingham, not far from where I used to live, and added a little more Midland's history (along with Leicester) to SW collecting edit: Shawn beat me to it |

| Thanks Shawn & Paul for the comments & the link. Unfortunately I don't appear to have kept my Palitoy letter about the Wampa. I probably threw it away in disgust. |
