| Title says it all guys. (as always) I want your input for fun things you'd like to see happening here. I know that Bootleg FOTW has been suggested, and that sounds good to me. What else is on your mind that'll make this section even more fun than it is??
Cheers Joe |

| Free Headman Raffle would be nice. Maybe Admin only and you can't be named Chris or Jay as an entrance Criteria?? I think the knowledge side is being well represented in the threads, maybe something fun? Like the ID this item game that Cantina Patron plays ? |

| We maybe should also gather all faked bootlegs in a thread outside the archive!
There seems to be many nowadays. The mexican new homemade stuff, yoda negrito, the funny colored Yodas (are these the same then the negrito??) PPL (? Im still not sure if these are fake...heard so but noone seems to react on this question in public) etc
Sounds good???
IMO this will definatley a need because lots of new collectors will ask quickly about this stuff. |

| Hi Joe, mate im very interested in bootlegs, ive heard you are the king of bootlegs in the planet, ever thought of showing some of your collection. I read the epic thread on RS where you were bidding on a polish figure that ended up costing 10k, just mind blowing, i respect your dedication mate, any chance of seeing a picture of the famous piece? as i must be the only one thats never seen it.
And Joe, whats the best way to get started collecting bootlegs on a bit of a budget? Im sort of looking to buy a group lot to get me started for a few hundred bucks..
Ive been looking on the ebay to try and get started on a few 10-25 dollar pieces, but many seem to be around the 70 dollar mark..
Before i had finished my original kenner sets i remember you selling heaps of figures for a very decent price, do you still do this mate?
Thanks Joe, cheers |

| Bootlegs can be very erratic on pricing. There are some lines that are harder than others, so the prices reflect on that. They also ebb and flow on popularity.
When I first looked at bootleg Polish figures, they were selling for 200-300% of the current market. Then again some lines like Uzay maintain value or even go up!
If you're trying to stay around $25 I'd say look at Polish or Mexican SA (semi articulated) lines and check the classifieds here and on RS. Ebay has some really nutty pricing.

I believe it originally did stand for that but was amended later to semi articulated as a better descriptive term. There was confusion as to where a lot of the Mexican bootlegs were originating from and I believe some fakes supposedly from other South American countries also had some affect on the earlier terminology. I could be mistaken but I believe that's the case. |

Cheers Hey man I might have a starter pack for sale. What draws your interest the most and where would you like to start? Check out the bootlegs from 12 systems threads and see what floats your boot(leg) haha Also, if you'd like to see Joe's collection, the pics were stolen and can still be viewed here. http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1063446/ Although I wouldn't suggest you post any replies to the thread as Joe has stated previously. Good luck and its the funnest time when you're new to bootlegs. It's a whole different world! Andy A |

Its a true testiment to Joes dedication and commitment amassing a collection like that, it surely must be the greatest bootleg collection in the world.. If your reading this Joe, congrats on your jaw dropping collection and i hope everything is goin ok for you atm, and looking forward to seeing you back on deck, cheers mate |

Joe's not gone or banned. He's not listed as a developer (understanding he couldn't contribute due to many personal issues) but he's still a member in good standing and is working on some things!
