Who Can Help Identifying This Toy Part? Empty
PostSubject: Who Can Help Identifying This Toy Part?   Who Can Help Identifying This Toy Part? I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 09, 2012 2:03 pm

(I posted this in the POTF (Project Outside The Box) thread a few weeks ago, but haven't got an answer in the thread yet. So I try it this way. Very Happy )

One of my Ledy INT-4 rigs (not Ozio's BTW) came with a gun which is totally different from the normal Kenner gun. It is the gun on the right side in the pics.

Though the gun fits remarkable well and can even rotate, I doubt whether it belongs to the Lili Ledy toyline. Why would Lili Ledy go into the trouble of making a mould for a new gun?

Maybe the gun belongs to a different toy line. Maybe it is (partly) customized as well?

Who can help to identify the gun?

Thanks!

I was going to say the INT-4 also (I have one, not complete, played with A LOT when I was a kid). MLC-3?

Thanks Ryan. The MLC-3 and MTV-7 guns look a bit similar but are different.

Who knows the answer?

The two circular recesses look like they were intended to be mounted on a gun turret or a vehicle wing maybe?
Might be from a GI Joe vehicle? I would post it on RS for an answer Marco.

Thanks Paul! Very Happy

In fact, Ozio also PMed me that it might be GI Joe.

I try to get an answer on Rebelscum as well. Checking which board will give the fastest answer. Very Happy

My first thought 'was' GI Joe, because I had all my Star Wars and GI Joe figures/vehicles mixed together at one point. I even had posted on a board trying to identify some weapons before, ended up being GI Joe weapon that looked more Star War'ish but couldn't think of who it would go to.

Now, going through the GI Joe vehicles, good luck with that. Seems there were thousands of stuff! I have so many different parts to so many vehicles, it's insane. I just wish I had kept the F-14 in the box and never opened it. Saw it selling online for over $1,000. There were COBRA boats that I put on the Washita River here in Oklahoma and blew to pieces with my Ruger 10/22 when I was 15-16. Now those boats are listed at $100 or so No

Dengar, I've gone through my entire GI Joe vehicle database (that includes individual photo parts) and couldn't match the gun on the right. There are 'some' missing images, but you can take a look yourself:

Well, this kind of finishing makes me directly think to the ZOIDS line toys (the vintage one's). If I have time I will try to google it.

Marco,

look at this:
http://smallscaleworld.blogspot.be/2012/03/m-is-for-motron-and-multimac.html

and this;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MULTIMAC-SUPER-DINOSAUR-UAS-FRICTION-JOINER-MIB-MINT-/250900220613?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a6ad18ac5

I am almost sure your weapons are coming from these sets called "Motron and Multimac"

The weapons look similar except that they have not the lateral discs but they might have been cut on yours...

Let me know!

Alex

Alex, at first sight I thought that the gun from the MultiMac set was longer, but when making a side by side comparison, it seemed to be the same gun indeed!! Except - as you already noticed - for the lateral discs which were probably cut off.

Mystery solved. 10 thanks points earned! Very Happy

Who has some more information about the MultiMac playsets (year, distribution).
Can we exclude the possibility that a Mexican kid who lost his INT-4 gun came up with this smart replacement?

You are welcome Marco, my pleasure!
You should try to find out of those Multimacs were also produced in Mexico...That might be the answer. Personnaly, the "very smart" kid option seem to me unrealistic. I rather opt for a factory variant.
Good luck, keep us updated.
