There is a real "it can't happen to me" mentality when we ship items. Here is what remained of a box. I shipped a single figure in bubble wrap, in a plastic case, inside more wrap. Then that was put in a full size 12x8x4 (approx) boz filled with air bladders. It was literally run over and flattened by the USPS. The box was reduced to being nearly flat, and covered in oil. Even with the over-packing , the figure was cracked through the chest. So pack well, insure high value items. Have your ducks in a row. I had the insurance claim denied because I used Paypal without an invoice. Luckily I had the conversation screen shot, showed the Paypal summary lining up with the payments. It was then approved. Thank you to Brian Lane for being patient while we worked through this

Words escape me - they wanted to refuse payment after doing that.

Jeez, glad the buyer was cool with you John. Always good to show a bit of understanding and compassion when these types of things happen. I can't believe they gave you any flak on not covering this and in fact after seeing that I would have expected that they would offer to purchase the item even if there was no insurance. I mean the treatment of the package was so outlandish in this case i figured they would trip over themselves trying to make it up to you.

That's probably the worst incident I've seen of a package being crushed like that. Something similar happened to me earlier this year when I shipped a Deadpool statue. I put it in a box within a box within a box, massive amounts of bubble wrap and other forms of bubble, packing peanuts, plastic bags, etc. It was only going to Oklahoma and I did priority shipping. Got a message from the guy that it arrived broken in several places and I thought to myself, "there's no way." Luckily, the guy was okay with it even when I offered a return or money back. It HAD to have been dropped off the back of the truck and dragged by rope from NJ to OKC. There's no other way. Still baffled.
