i was wondering if EV9D9 , Barada and Amanaman in the dungeon set are the same ones as the ones on the POTF cards?
i cant seem to find a website that clarifies this for me. can anyone explain this to me please.

| Really? The reason why you cant find anything on it is cause they are the same figures. Kenner didnt make them different for the Dungeon, or the Special Offers. They were all the same figures packaged as bonus' to those sets. |

| There was a suggestion that the '1984' Barada variant was from the dungeon but it is not the case. |

that is what i kinda thought too but it is better to know than doubt. So if someone scores a dungeon with those 3 he or she probably saved a lot of money. thats something i gotta keep in mind when i get to those last 17.... |

- Yep, that first Barada was out of my Jabba's Dungeon set (which I sold back in 2008 ), but it was the only figure with a 1984 datestamp. Amanaman and EV-9D9 still had their standard 1985 datestamps.
However, during the two years that I was tracking this figure down, I emailed a lot sellers and talked to some other collectors on RS and most of them had Baradas that came out of the Jabba's Dungeon set, but they all had 1985 datestamps. So, I don't know why there are a few with 1984 on them.
Since the Jabba's Dungeon was a Sears exclusive, then maybe some of the earliest orders from the 1984 Sears Catalog would have included the 1984 Barada, but the later release sets that were available in Sears "brick and mortar" stores might have included the 1985 Barada.
It seems logical, but it's really just a guess at this point. . Quoted from: http://www.sirstevesguide.com/showthread.php/26237-Recent-Vintage-SW-Purchases/page68 The Barada that came with my Sears dungeon has the 1985 datestamp. Amanaman and EV9D9 have the 1985 datestamp as well (the only existing stamp for these two figures). Hope this helps. |

| I think Wouter meant the Amanaman coin. |

| once again, i was wrong.. dementia starting to kick in, i'm afraid i was thinking of the coo difference between the 1985 in straight line, and 1985 with a out of place 5 (the 5 being higher) |

| Mystery solved! Wouter, how come you know about such small COO differences? Are you sure you are not a variant hunter deep in your heart? On a side note: I don't care about such subtle differences between COOs anymore since I know they just represent steel moulds that were used in paralel during production of the figures (kudos to Wolff). I just collect the COOs in Wolff's guide that are clearly different w/o having to use a magnifier glass. That is a personal choice off course, everyone should collect what he likes best. |

| Looks to be a bit larger difference then just the coo here. 1. More distinct "C" 2. "5" seems to have been moved. Remnants of old 5? 3. The line seems to have been removed. Good choise there. Could also been added. It does look to me like the first one could be the later.

| The Amanaman COO difference does coiincide with a paint pattern difference. from : http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1063209/ |

Thanks AJ! That makes it interesting again when there are also consistent paint variations involved. |

| Wouldnt the paint scheme be from the paint mask? Every one of those has a difference in them. |
