| huuum Houston we have a problem. My Jawa has the COO #4 in Wolff's guide.... but the head molding line is different from the other regular jawas I have and indeed the head seem larger. The color of the body is also different being less brown (kind of faded) compared the regular Jawas.

| I'm not an expert, but that cape looks suspect.
BTW - Does the Ben in the picture have a cape? |

| Yes Ben had also a cape but damaged that's why It is not in the pic. Can not be Ben'caps as the cape is very tight to the body and the shoulder wide is completely different. Additionnally, as I said in muy previous posts, there is and "edge" all around the cape (like a stamped line) which is incompatible with a re-used cape. |

Great score and I hope it's real. I am no expert but I must agree with Darthberizing that cape looks mighty suspicious to me, especially the edges. But as I said I'm no expert and know very little of toltoys. |

| I contacted the seller to clarify. This the exchange of email:
Hello Chris! Got your parcel today! Thanks for the nice packaging. Figures are great. One question: there was one little jawa figure with a plastic cape. Is this original from your childhood, custom made or a reproduction that you bought a few years ago? Thanks for letting me know. Alex
reply: Original from mg youth. It was my second one as a friend stole my first one which had a cloth cape. Really pissed me off, but he denied it anx our mothers believed him and not me.
Additionnaly the Jawa was not visbible on the auction pic. If he wanted to make some extra money, at least the fig would have been visible, no?

| The Jawa that Emiel showed for reference used to be mine aswell.
I must say your cape doesn't look good and is possible a repro/cut down Ben cape becuase off a few pointers on the cape. But i do see some other pointer that actually do look good.
Also like others have said, the cape should have a clean cut around the borders, i think someone used an iron mold they use to cut those repro VC jawa capes in a Ben cape to create this.
I would like to help you out and examine it further for you, but then you have to take certain close up pictures for me.
If you like my help, PM me and i'll tell you what to take pic's from and where to look at.
Cheers, Dennis. |

| What a nice surprise Bleuberry, you must be pretty stoked .Don't worry about the coo it can be #1 or #4 or even 6 or 7(the two at the bottom) although the spotting only seems to happen on the #1&4 .The cape does look a bit rough round the edges , but i work with a vinyl cutting plotter sometimes and this is what the edges look like when you use the wrong cutting depth, from what i can see in the pictures it does have some Toltoys telltales .It doesn't make sence to make something like this and not have it visable in the picture of the lot you list on Ebay, the naked figure alone sells for quite a lot of money if it's listed on Ebay australia.Really hope Dennis has some good news for you for you . |

| Thanks orangpendenk for your support, thats nice . Indeed i almost had an heart attack when i opened up the parcel. Then the possibility of some kind of joke went through my mind. Hopefully, Dennis gave me some hints (and quite a load of questions to reply). I spent 2 hours with a jeweller eyeglass and a fluorescent light reproducing natural light (the one used by modellers) and the outcome is impressive. More later once i have discussed with Dennis. |

| They are pre-production and were never released on a card or in a baggy. They were bought from a former Kenner employee, graded and then put on the market for sale. |

| This is not Star Wars but I wanted to share it anyway since there are some GI Joe fans here. These are Medecins Sans Frontieres by Berchet 1988. They are not well known and are a rare. Not very expensive though since there are no market for them. They have similar body construction to Disney The Black Hole figures and GI Joe, I guess they can be classified as GI Joe knock offs. The little sick black kid is more like a Star Wars figure. I bought a complete figure set and a vehicle and this guy was awesomely fast with shipping. Not a member here though. The box had a serious amount of stamps, it sucks the post office placed their sticker ontop of them. I don't collect but would have loved seeing all of these lol. |

| Extraordinary pictures Rawlin, and lovely packaging they came in. Let's hope some kids played with those, then grew up to help make the world a better place. Nice later '80s artwork there too, reminds me of video sleeves from this era. |

Maybe someone in France did finding them loose is hard, all I've seen have been carded. They have some file card you can cut out on the backside but it's in french so I have no idea what it's saying. They all had the same cardback except some tiny details. The only way to id them seem to be by the group picture on the back of the card. |
