| Though mainly a vintage collector, I also collect some modern SW lines as well. More of you guys might and therefore I asked Jay whether he could make a bit room for modern stuff as well on this forum. Not too much, just a bit, as TIG should keep its focus on vintage off course. Thanks Jay for responding positively, and giving us the opportunity to discuss and show off modern stuff somewhere in the outer rim of the TIG forum |

| Not real big on modern items, but these came in a lot I got of vintage items. R2-D2 mail away bowl with the mailer box and the 2 Limited Edition Micro Machines sets. |

| I could not resist the Vintage Collection TIE Fighter , shown here below with the real thing. Kenner Hasbro also paid attention to the flanks of the box to make them appear like the original vintage box. Even the boys have something which is best described as a late 70s hair style. Off course the vintage box rules, but the ´new vintage´ is quite sweet too. BTW: why is that stormi holding a Wookie bowcaster, this is the first time I saw that!! |

| Wow these re-issue toys are actually pretty cool when you see just how much like the originals they are, the silly details like using the same figures in the pictures and almost the same text to even hiring a child to do action shots in his best 70's Jumper! Awesome I wouldn't buy any still, but its funny to see them side by side ! |

I think the ARC-170 was a early predecessor to the X-Wing Marco. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Aggressive_ReConnaissance-170_starfighter Jay |

| The Bounty Hunter two-pack is the bomb. I might even pick a set up of those. |

The only thing I noticed was on the front of one it has "Adult disassembly required" and one don't and the figures on the lower left back are arranged different on both. Unless theres something in the file card on the back I can't see. |

Hardly readable on the pics for you, the description at the top right corner on the back reads ´The Executioner´ instead of ´The Executor´. Coach: That is indeed a nice bounty hunter set! The Saga Collection has quite some interesting stuff, like the Death Star briefing, and the Astromech Droids packs. Maybe I should get these one day. |

| Wow, that thing is huge!!!
I like the "cockpit", finally they made some room for general Veers to give orders to the AT AT drivers from behind.
Funny they included a Hoth speeder bike as well. Does it explode like its vintage ancestor?
Does the modern box resemble the vintage one in detail as is the case for the modern TIE Fighter box?
Cheers |

| Marco-- Does your two-pack have the Celebration V sticker, or the Jedi Con sticker? |

| This thread is well hidden, I guess it must have a small following My latest pick-up is the VC B-wing fighter. [img] [/img] I know opinions on this modern stuff are divided, but I think the VC line does a good job of combining elements of the old & new! |

| The back of the latest VC cards are designed in the stye of the original 20 backs. If you buy these in Europe they are covered by a horrible black sticker, but if done carefully these can be removed with relative ease! However, if you attempt this don't blame me if it goes wrong! [img] [/img]

| Comparrison shot of the Original Y-wing (Made in Mexico) & the modern version. Although the deco on the new version is different, Hasbro did release one with the 'correct' deco a few years ago. [img] [/img] |
