| Sorry for the crummy pic but I got these two today. Filling a small hole in my collection on the left and the new Vader on the right: Have to confess I am not real impressed with the "new" VOTC Vader. The helmet looks a little undersized and misshapen but they've FINALLY paid tribute to the vintage 12 back. |

| Great to see a bit more traffic in this thread lately. Steve: That Y-Wing box rocks. Funny, after all these years, Hasbro still used the old vintage steel mould to cast this Y-Wing with some small modifications. Dcarty: The new Vader looks great. |

| It's a shame about the VOTC Vader (I don't have that one yet). I guess Hasbro keep changing the scupt to justify re-releasing him in what seems like every other wave since 1995 The backs of the news cards are definately better that the earlier VOTC releases. |

| I had to travel to another city today and i had a super awesome star wars collecting day. I live in one major city in my province ( Canada ) but i had to go to another one which is bigger. So off we went early and i landed at a Walmart over there and its like i got the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow today. At that particular Walmart i scored the following: Darth Vader ( ANH CARD) now my all time favorite! Luke Hoth ESB Darth Malgus Imperial Navy commander Darth Maul I had to stop myself at that place because i would have picked others ( less desirable but still needed cards ) because i was gonna ruin myself. I carried on and went back to my home town and stopped at liquidation world at got another 4 cards ( see other topic). So today i scored 9 cards for the amount of 80$ which is awesome! The Walmart ones were not cheap 10.77$ a pop but what the heck! i pleaded the GF who was with me and i won and got a ton of rewards. I ll try to post pics of my latest acquisitions when i have time. |

| My latest modern piece. I'm not that taken with the packaging, but I missed out on the last release of this Dewback and it is a vast improvmet on the POTF2 version (I've still got a soft spot for my vintage Kenner one though). [img] [/img] [img] [/img] |

| That Dewback looks really impressing!!! Some pics of Obi's Jedi Starfighter, that I bought recently: I like the design of this prequel vehicle, as it combines elements of the OT snowspeeder and TIE Fighter. |

That version of the Jedi starfighter is definately one of my favourite prequel vehicles, partly due to the reasons you gave above. |

| That's a super selection of first shot/prototype figures you have there Javi! I know that this is primarily a vintage site, but it's great to see some modern items aswell. |

| Javi, those are some great pro to pickups!! Outstanding!
And Marco--I love seeing modern Euro packaging with the multiple languages. Tracking down Vaders in Euro stuff can be quite the chore over here. Congrats!! |

| Fantastic protos! Ive recently picked some up as well. I'm not really well versed in these, you see a lot on EBay from Chinese sellers (toysir, fourZerofive, Sinodollsetc). How can you be sure these are legit? Could they just be stripped figures? |

I've heard they are 'mass produced' for the collector market. |

god, i do hope that this toy gets the vintage packaging treatment....knowing hasbro they will do it...that would be awesome! I'm sure that it will, as this line is pretty popular. A friend of mine got this in for me. (One of these days I'll get myself a boxed vintage one). [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] |

| I ve got one Asohka. She is pretty nice but she looks a little weird on the card. Its an airbrush painting to make her look real ( you know that ) but some turns out pretty well while others look too fake.
Also here TVC is 6.50$ a piece now, no matter what wave. I also had the opportunity to get :
· Obi-Wan (Clone Wars) · Nien Nunb · Orrimaarko (Prune Face)
At Local Wal Mart.... They do have a few others from that line but i have yet to see and grab a ERG from that wave. I could say that i am 3/4 close to have every figure from that line MOC. So i am pretty happy with that. Plus i got a Tautaun and Landspeeder, tie, y wing, jedi starfighter. I am just missing the AT AT and Falcon. But ill wait for it to come down, its just too expensive right now. And my big plan is to put everything on hold ( vintage related ) and concentrate on making cash to get the death star playset. |

| Latest pick up for me was a Dr. Evazan. Foound him at a local TRU. Before that, my buddy out in Texas sent me a red bandana Kithaba. |

| Hope this isn't just for figures.
Received my copy of the Sansweet book today. Very nice.
I was hoping for more vintage content, but it's such an eye-catching book, I love it.
My only nit to pick would be that I wish there was a glossary, which included a few common groupings, Eg. Ewoks
Chief Chirpa page XX Paploo pg XY
That would have been a nice touch.
But overall: Great book, even better value. A |
