| Has anyone heard of a Luke Jedi coming somehow with a Mustard Cape? It is not a Pruneface Cape.
I picked it up many years ago but no one can confirm/deny if these were ever produced/pre-produced?
Experts I have spoken with in Australia have told me that this cape has been made for the Luke Jedi.
Thoughts appreciated

| Post a pix of it up. I never seen a mustard colored one, only the brownish ones. |

| There are 2 resident Luke Jedi experts: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t2461-i-m-a-luke-jedi-limelight http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t504-craigy-s-luke-jedi-last-updated-02-07-2010 I've not seen a mustard cape either. Stitching & material react differently to dyes, bleach etc so it is quite common to see 'altered' capes with different coloured stitching. |

| Taken from this thread: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t1612-luke-jedi-dark-cloaks - Craig T wrote:
- Hi guys here's an update for the Luke Jedi capes. I have scored a complete MIHK Luke with the correct cape and confirmed it with MOC examples. It not only darker but also fluffier. I mistakenly thought a big ribbed cape was the MIHK cape as it was slightly darker. This is not true the big ribbed caped seem to belong to the HK COO lukes only.
Anyways here's a reference for all ye collectors:
Could it be that your cape is faded? The outside is lighter than the inside. |

| Hey Chris, that RS example looks like a Jedi cape though. Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight: Lili Ledy on the right. |

| I knew it was an LL one, but I was going by the color on it. I looked everywhere on RS for cape examples and that was the closest I could find by color match. Guess its just the lighting the guy used when he took the pix that made it that color cause it looks alomost like it. |

| I've had this one in my collection for a while. Same slightly darker interior as the others shown. Maybe this specific cape was just more prone to fading? |

| I also have a Luke Jedi cape similar in color. It's hard to say when I acquired it exactly but maybe around 8 years ago... |

| I guess if there is no carded figure with this cape and there is no known prototype cape of this colour then it is simply faded.
I really hope that more information can be gathered. |

| I have an orange cape luke jedi with snap cape. The colour is consistent all over and inside. It looks more orange than the mustard ones talked about. Of course you have to be open minded when it comes to any cape colour differences/discolouration etc; The middle Luke is my 'standard' snap cape and i would guess that brown to orange discolouration is quite possible (see squidhead ) Anyone else have a snap cape like this one with consistent orange colour? He came from the states a few years ago or so... |

| Guys... I have a few folks try to sell me these capes for my Luke Jedi focus from time to time. I also warned folks a while back < http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3037-new-fake-luke-jedi-cloaks-on-the-scene>
Just to point out though that some people have these more than 5-8 years so here’s my thoughts: Although I collect loose Lukes, I normally collect Luke Jedi MOC. I have 50+ different variations of Luke Jedi MOCs all from the 3 main factories. Not one sealed specimen has a colour change like this so this leads me to think the colour change is not a natural one. I been told by a few people that’s it to do with sun light which I also disagree with - One thing to note is if the cape was bleached by sunlight such as being left on the window sill for extended periods of time, the shaded part of the cape (not facing the window) would not break down. I can’t tell from looking at the photos with the laptop that I am using if the cape texture is correct or not. There are plenty of repro capes surfacing about on ebay which have been the lighter colour I also have questioned a few folks who sell “lighter” coloured genuine Luke Jedi capes on ebay… apparently a very uniform lighter colour (but genuine LJ) cape can be achieved by simply placing your authentic LJ cape in a washing machine.
