I'm still undersided if there is a specific spear for Romba vs Wicket.

I don't think there is much difference in them. They both look the same to me also.

I thought I remember Jimmy confirming no difference.

People say that that the Romba spear has less detail, but I don't know how recognizable it would be. If I had to guess (assuming there is one in the pic) , I'd go with #2.

But I think that any of the 3 is fine with Wicket OR Romba in my collection.

My AFA one has image no. 1 spear. Pics up soon.

AFA do NOT check weapons correctly, as for the less detail on Romba spears the theory is the mold was well used by the time the Last 17 arrived & hence the detail is less defined.

The romba spear appear slightly wider at the threads below the tip of the spear to me, though spear one is wide as well. It is also smoother and has a slightly different color. This how ever can have had discussions that I have missed. My info comes from rebelscum this time.

I've looked a long time for what I believe is the proper spear and the easiest way to spot it I believe is just above the threads(bottom pic).

Very interesting thread Thanks. I actually did this to start a discussion. I have missed that thread. Spear 1 and 2 belongs to my 2 wickets, I've had many of them, and they are very common. Spear 3 however seems harder to come by at least to me, and it's been a hell finding one. Maybe it's a coo thing. But there is a rather large difference in the 2 of them. and number 3 looks to be a modification of number 1 and 2, maybe a new mold made for Romba, but also distributed with the wickets? Just a thought.

OK, people check your MOCs & baggies please. All my Wicket baggies & Tri MOC have the 'defined' darker spear. I have 2 of the lighter coloured 'fat' spears with my Rombas

I have Wicket on a MOC Kenner card, a MOC Canadian card and I also have wicket MOC in the POTF Ewok Combat Complete Playpack.

But I think it is very hard to see what spear there is in the 3 cards I have.

Well if AJ says it's a variation, then I guess it is.

I'll have to keep my eye out for a light fat spear.

So according to them, they are the one and same because the difference is so small its hard to tell them apart.

I can agree to that it's hard to tell them apart, it's very hard. Though they are not the same. I wonder why though. Since AussieJames Mocs and Baggies had the correct spears in them, (I am really grateful for you checking that James. Thanks.) I am going to stick with that these are different spears. Since Romba is harder to get then wicket I would assume that is the reason why this spear is even harder to get.

I do wonder why they are so close looking but still not the same. But wickets spear looks almost damaged from beginning, they might have decided to fix it up.
