Hi lads,

i received an email from "paypal" the other day, titled account limited.

i opened it up and it said as my account had been accessed from two different locations my account had been limited untill i verified that it was me who had used it and not someone else, as i had used a pc at work to pay for something(instead of my lap top at home) i thought ok its probably legit,

i clicked on the link and it opened what looked like the paypal home page, i almost entered my login and password when i noticed the address at the top was not paypal and something else..

i backed out and rang paypal straight away, to my suprise i got through to a lad from longbenton which made it a lot easier to explain, told him what had happened and he explained they have been inundated with calls regarding the same thing so be aware when opening anything claiming to be from paypal. one thing the lad said was that if you open an email from paypal it will always be addressed

know this is not something new but it seems there is a lot of it going on and i would hate for anyone to get hooked

I had a couple of those already. I went straight to paypal to see if what was in the message was right, and lo and behold, there was no activity going on. One of mine said something about my CC I had on it, but the funny thing is, I removed my cards from it a month before. Its amazing on some of these scams people come up with.

I used to get spam that someone is trying to log into my paypal account and that I should change password. Ofc the link in the mail doesn't go to paypal but was just to get my login and password. I didn't even use paypal at that time so I just went in and deleted my accounts just in case.
