Hi fellow TIGers,

Just wanted to know if anyone has a luke farmboy yellow telescoping lightsabre that has an extra long tip?

I have received one in the last few days and it has a tip that is almost twice as long as all my obi's and vader's sabres.

I have checked the gunnery and a few other sites to no avail....

It checks out as not being repro but I have never seen one with such a long tip.

I will post pics ASAP but any thoughts for the time being???

i have a luke farmboy with double telescoping saber if its that whaat you mean.
but i think the tip is a bit longer the 2x the normal tip lenght.

Naa not the DT saber just the normal telescoping saber.....just has a long tip.

i know there exists a streched tip thats thinner then normal and this would be about 2x the normal lenght.
ive seen a couple on ebay the last couple of months.

mmm....interesting coz this tip is actually thicker than other tips i have seen. Pics ASAP.

Pic added. You can see just how longer lukes saber tip is to obi's and it also sinks in water! So any addition thoughts TIG peeps, can we identifify this long saber and it's possible origins.

maybe it belonged to a black luke ??

the water test isnt conclusive on sabers even originals sink or flowt.

the FB isnt a china coo by any chance?
is the saber more softer and flexible then a normal one?

I remember seeing a similar saber some where, I think it was one of the rarer variants, toltoys or glasslite or something like that.

Well its certainly looks longer than any of the loose pictures ive come across. I collect Vintage Die Casts at the moment not loose so im not the best person to ask.

Maybe someone with more loose variant knowledge can chime in

I didn't get the figure, just the saber and it's just as hard as obi's or darth's. (that one's for u geordie)

It would be nice to be able to ID and then I can start hunting for the FB to go with it.

That's Lando's saber. Seems he only showed it to Leia in the Cloud City condo.

Seriously though, I don't know. My first thought is its a repro, since I don't remember seeing one before, but I'm sure Wolff would be able to help since he has an extensive Luke collection and knowledge of crazy variants. But, he might still be mad about the guy arguing with him about the Fett COO.

How many peeps out there think this is repro?? How many think it's legit? Would love to hear as many opinions as possible.

try to check it under a blacklight?
this method is not a 100% accurate but if it glows you could have a real one.
there is a thread on this somewhere here and over at RS.

if you have other FB lukes with saber try to compare then to eachother,color,feel,texture,flexibility,...

No the black Luke came with a blue saber.


Seriously, I have never seen such a long tip before on a regular saber, so can't help you there.

I have also never seen or heard about such a long saber, only the double telescoping saber.

True, I believe all Luke sabers glow under blacklight with the exception of Taiwan sabers.

What is blacklight ?

UV light

a black light is a uv light
true not all real sabers glow under uv light
but i have never heard of a repro glowing under uv light anyone ?
so if it glows it's real if it dosen't glow do more tests
