I am very happy to hear they got him. However, I've got some issues with the White House politiciing of it but since we don't allow politicial debates i'll do the right thing and say nothing on it. I would say I'd like proof. This seems odd that as a president is spiraling out of popularity this happens. It's also been reported they buried the body at sea already in accordance with Islamic law. Seems odd.

I hope the families of everyone he's caused the death to can find solice in this.

This is only going to be the start of another era of drawn out military operations. The possible repercutions that could result from this are a real threat at this time. I'm afraid we will be over there for many years to come as the world's "police" force. Policing a country that doesn't want to be controlled.

No question that our Commander In Chief has taken this opportunity to boost his popularity. He said he directly authorized the operation. That is a bunch of political opportunism if I've ever heard any.

I'm sorry for the soapbox - I've been too strongly affected by our world's events post 9/11. I do hope that our troops can find some solace in the fact that our country seems to behind them again.

Totally glad he's dead! and he should think himself lucky (not that he can now) that he was shot in the head for a quick death, unlike the pain and suffering he has put so many others through!

I just hope his followers don't rise up for retaliation and that the computers seized by the army held plenty of information to bring down the terrorist scum!

There was no way he was ever going to be captured alive,could you imagine how many americans/westerners would have been kidnapped & beheaded on the internet until he was released(which would've been never!)?.

Im glad they got him! I just wish my lil brother could come back from Afghanistan already his kids and family miss him. But with Bin Ladden's death comes other threats and I understand why he's gone he's out making the world a safer place and I thank him and all others fighting terrorism!! God bless!!
