| The Big 3 at Sandown:
15th Annual Collectors World Fair
12th Annual Vintage & Collectable Toy-fest
19th Annual Scale Model Enthusiasts Show & Sale
(in reality these are 3 different but related groups all thrown together under the one roof so just think of it as a giant hobby fair)
Date: Sunday 3 Mar 13 (yes, tomorrow!)
Venue: Sandown Racecourse
Address: Princes Highway Springvale Vic
Opens: 9am to 3pm
Admission: Adults $5, Seniors & Children $3, Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) $15
The shows at Sandown (there's another on 30 June and another on 24 November) are considered the best collector fairs in Melbourne with the largest turn out of dealers and probably the best venue too with lots of space, plus easy and free parking!
There's always a good showing of vintage goodies at these fairs plus it's a good opportunity to say hi to some fellow collectors. I'll actually be selling there myself tomorrow trying to make some space in my tiny apartment so if you're in the area with nothing else to do, drop on by! |

| Wish I hadn't brought the missus Dax, my son was far more understanding to my wants. He even negotiated 25% off of that Takara Vader but the ball and chain wasn't buying it. Lesson learnt there.  |

| Sorry for the late update everyone! Sorry, no pictures taken but I'll see what I can do next time. The day itself was pretty quite as far as people through the door, just a slow and steady trickle but not a disaster. Sold a few things, chatted to a bunch of collectors including Darth Small  Picked up a single cardback for my own collection (nothing special, just an upgrade to me Jedi Ben Kenobi card). I'm expecting a larger turn out at the next one in June, which is also coincidentally when they raffle a new exclusive Beanie Bear for attendees. No - they have nothing to do with Star Wars. I'm also considering attending the Skyforce meeting in May to sell there too. I really need to make some room after I bought a guys childhood collection and now have a few large vehicles I have to sell |
