hi,

as some may know im a vintage saint seiya collector in japanese boxes(there origin).
because i got the japanese virus in me i was thinking of getting some japanese SW mocs.
takara is too exspensive for me so...

is tsukuda japanese and are they exspensive?
are the hard to spot from the front or back?
did all the figs get carded on this card?
and do i need to know other things about this?

The Tsukuda line is the least expensive, and the hardest to spot from the front LOL

It's essentially a Kenner figure MOC with a sticker on the back. So from behind, it's impossible not to notice. From the front, impossible to tell. Most collectors will sell them as a Tsukuda so they should be easy to spot but on Ebay it might say "Japanese Star Wars".

Pricing isn't crazy at all. I sold a Klaatu recently sub $50 and bought a nice Bib Fortuna for sub $50. Not C10's but very nice. Avoid the nuts who think they are worth hundreds and you can stay in the $40-$80 range consistantly.

EDIT - According to an article I read on RS, there are 21 Tsuksuda. It's the first 20 ROTJ Figures + Darth Vader.

Any idea how much à Nice vader would go for?

I've personally never seen a Vader with a Tsukuda sticker before.

Here's a pic of what the sticker looks like. Like John said, unless you see the back they are impossible to spot from the front, as there is nothing different about them on the front.



Most common from what I've seen are Ree-Yees, Klaatu, Bib Fortuna and Squidhead. Occasionally you'll see a Rebel Commando pop up. But I haven't seen one in awhile. And before I saw John's edit, I had no ideas there were 21 of them!

I was quite surprised on how much you paid...and the average costs. I was working with a seller who had a Luke one for a lot more. But the ex wife stepped in and stopped the deal (I suppose it is half hers - Dam! ).

Perhaps though if Tsukuda Luke Jedi are actually much more cheaper then it was a good thin for me

anyway im on the lookout for a vader one and it doesnt have to be mint a cardback would be fine too

im watching a klaatu one on ebay but skiffguards arrent my cup of tea.
