I have no idea on that, first time I seen one like it. Its cool looking though. Its def a bootleg/knock off, but thats as far as I can guess on it.

the more i look at it, the more i'm thinking *knockoff* myself too
the legs and arms are totally takara windup!
maybe the body/head parts resemble some other known R2 version.. interesting to say the least!

It reminds me of the Takara wind up and that other bootleg R2 with the blue see-thru dome.
I can't remember what it is, or I would link it. But someone had it as their avatar on here.

Might be from the Tomy Zoids series the Rascal Robots circa 1983 ?
The details don't look quite the same but it may be from another series they had. The sculpts are very similar though:

It's definitely a Takara R2 legs, walking mechanism and wind up thingie. But the dome looks to be from either the Playmobil line or the Rascal Robots. It's really cool whatever it is!
