The most recent Game Informer Magazine did a special about all the Hoth Battles that have appeared in video games over time... which made me think... since I've been posting these Favorite "Fill in the Blank" Star Wars related posts... why not do one for one of the most commonly used themes for video games over time... Star Wars.

So, what are your top 5 Favorite Star Wars video games of all time???

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (XBOX)
2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (XBOX)
3. Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (PC)
4. Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy (XBOX 360)
5. Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2: Rouge Leader (Gamecube)

Honorable Mention: All 3 Star Wars games on the SNES, Super Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi.

Mine are probably all considered Old School, where I don't game quite as much as I used to, but here is the list I came up with of games I enjoyed back in the day. I wish they would revive the space combat genre of PC games. I always loved the X-Wing games and Wing Commander.

I've got to agree with Shawn. The X-Wing games of old are classics in my book. Along with the relic, Star Wars Chess.

But seeing how I just scored The Force Unleashed for PS3 for $20, that game is currently at the top of my list!

Nice! When i frist got X-Wing our family computer didn't even have a soundcard yet, so I had to play the game with the soundtracks going on my stereo to give some kind of atmosphere.

I remember that Chess game, but never did get a chance to play it. Was it similar to Battle Chess, where you would watch pieces have a little fight, when one would overtake the other?

Yep! That would be the same type of thing! I just downloaded it for posterity's sake! It's a classic! And I forgot how bad at Chess I am.
