| I received this Lili Ledy Royal Guard about a month or two ago (on the left). The differences in the plastic, cape, and weapon seem to be more noticable in person than this picture but the interesting thing is on this figure the slit on the cape where the figure holds the weapon is on the opposite side for some reason. The figure does not look to have been tamered with at all. Is this unusual? The Royal Guard's head can not be removed as far as I know. |

| pretty normal IMO. The slits appear on both sides. I have both and I think they appear 50:50!
edit: looks like darker staff...congrats! this is hard to get....because they appeared more often with light satff! |

| Yes the staff is much darker, a cool LL figure variant. When you say it is 50/50 do you mean with just with Ledy Royal Guards? I have never seen it reversed with any Kenner figures either. |

| of course...just Ledy I think some think the slit on the wrong side is rarer....so maybe 70:50......doesnt matter...its a cool variant! |

| I will hold on to this guy but hopefully you guys can hunt one down because I guess they are not as rare as I first thought. It is still so cool to learn of a new variant just when you think you know your stuff.
I received the Ledy Royal Guard in a lot of Ledy figures from Mexico that also had a C3-PO that did not have a screw in the back. I asked the seller about it and he said there is also a non-screw Ledy C3-PO variant. Does anybody know anything about it? |

the pullapart ledy c-3po does'nt have a screw in back the other's do. That is what I thought but the C3-P0 is not removable limbs. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a Ledy non-screw fixed limb C3-P0. I did not pay much for it so it is not a big deal. |

| Congrats. on the dark staff LL ERG! Very nice! I wouldn't worry about getting ERG's with slits on different sides (unless you were collecting carded). You can twist the capes round... Admittedly I haven't tried it with my LL ERG but with a little work I reckon I could get the slit on the opposite side?! Rog. |

Wow that gives an interesting twist to this thread! Seriously, anybody tried this out before with a beater Kenner ERG? BTW, welcome aboard Rog!! |

| Hi Wolff, good to see you posting, hope you're doing well & Dr. Dengar, thanks for the welcome. The above ERG was a HK figure, this one is Taiwan: It was more difficult to get the cape to turn but still only took a few minutes. I think the cape gets wedged in place when the head is stuck down but would guess it's still possible to turn on most ERGs? (I'm not trying a LL or no coo variant ) If I just got lucky with these figures and only a small percentage can have their capes turned I'm still not getting extra 'slit variants' if they can be made by sellers. Rog. |

| I tried a couple of my beater ERGs. Both twisted pretty easily when I tried. One cape took a little more "coercing", but it loosened up without much effort. I'd guess some were glued better than others. Once twisted though - I can say the cape didn't look any worse for wear.... meaning nothing tore or was damaged. Interesting find!!!!!! |

| I took one for the team and just tried mine. My Ledy ERG isn't in the best shape, so I figured - WTF. It moves. The material, being a little different, isn't as easy to move as the Hong Kongs', but it definitely moved and didn't affect anything. (Other than my heart rate) Experiment done- figure ok - I need a beer. |

| It moved, but were you able to go all the way around, without damaging it??? Yes very brave and bold move. If i had a beater LL ERG i would test it but i don't have any of those in beater condition.

| I moved the slit from the right side by way of the back to the left side and then back again the same way. So... not technically all the way around (didn't go to the front), but I definitely got the slit over to the other arm. I'm sure it could do a complete circle. It's as if the hood is just "pinching" down the cape.
Edit to post: I realized I didn't answer the damage portion of the question. There isn't any damage that I can see. The robe still fits snug and drapes nicely with no rips. |
