Subject: Varying quality of cardbacks? Thu Nov 04, 2010 2:40 pm
Yesterday I got a 12c back Chewbacca. Whilst I have no reason to believe it is anything other than original, I have noticed that the rear of the card doesn't have the usual glossy finish that I am used to seeing on other similar cards. I have looked at it at through a magnifying glass and the print traits are all there. Little flaws the same as my other 12 backs and the pixelation from the printing process that can only be seen really close. It just doesn't look as good.
Anybody else seen similar variations of quality?

Having quite a few cardbacks I am amazed at the differences in print quality, overall size, punch hole position..... It almost seems like they were not mass produced. I guess it's a combination of different production factories & poor quality control.
