| I got a couple in the mail myself the other day!
They are actually pretty cool looking!!!
This makes me want to send the ones I haven't opened yet to get U graded!!!!!!!!!!!
I know and have met the seller of the posted item and have done business with him several times. He is a really great guy.
I've talked to him about the U grading thing.... He's not much of a fan of it either... but it's hard to NOT do it when it brings in a lot of money for your business.
I don't agree with the U as well... but in these times... you gotta do what you gotta do to put bread on the table.

| I dont have any problem with that type of U grade as its perfectly fine, its not damaged at all its just been take out of a sealed box which it was supposed to come out of.
and like you say, if he can get that kind of money for a $20 MODERN figure...then....well done. |

| I just figured at least $35 if you went about acquiring a Rocket Firing Fett the way Hasbro wanted you to... by purchasing 5 figures for $6.99-$7.99 then mailing out the POPs with a check or money order for (what was it???) $5.00. |

| Not that I'm an expert but how can it get a "U" grade when it's still carded?? I also noticed this yesterday if anyone would like a complete set.... http://cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-1977-1985-COMPLETE-AFA-U90-COLLECTION-C10-/360300402268?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item53e393d65c#ht_910wt_1137 |

| It was taken from a sealed shipping carton , which tbh I think is where U grading should end. If its submitted outside of a shipping box then its officially been circulated doh! |

| To me an uncirculated item is one that has never left the factory or the original point of sale. Anything in our homes (carded or not) have already been circulated and regardless whether you send it away to be inspected by someone with white gloves it has already been touched by bare hands at the factory during packaging. I find it funny that people treat these toys like ancient artifacts that there's is the only one that exists. |

| It's pretty crazy how much that is going for. One thing I've noticed with the modern mailers is that they go for pretty crazy prices in the beginning, but a year later you can pick them up dirt cheap. If you take a look at the vintage collection section on RS you'll see people are ordering these things by the case. Once the demand/hoopla dies down and people are sitting on cases of these, they'll be pretty affordable to pick up and the U grade Boba will be pretty much worthless. Just my opinion/observations. |

| I think the uncirculated definition holds up when things are pulled from shipping cases directly by AFA, it means what was meant for a store was bought by a collector and sent in before the store had a chance to put it on the shelf (or in the case of vintage it was overstock that never got opened) that at least defines uncirculated in terms of retail circulation.
Overall everyone knows my opinion on most things U, like I said over on RS the likelihood of Vintage shipping crates going in are close to zero bar the odd Meccano Jawa and mini rig that someone has found in a warehouse so I personally think they widened the goal posts for carded and bagged figures to tap into U grading for the vintage items. Its retarded however you slice the cake. |

OMFW! $77,000 just because of the acrylic and a label. I think pure crazy greed might be the most poetic way end to U-Grading. At stupid prices like this it is only a matter of time for scammers to buy in a load of empty acrylic cases, some tinfoil, and a inkjet printer and totally flood the market with "loved", "Played-with" , and "Pissed/Sick all-over-with" encased figures all dressed up as U90. Perfect. PS Lads: buy the way I wasn't dissing the "vintage" style Boba when I made this post.... I just thought it was bizzar that someone would pay nearly $400 for a modern tribute when for that money he could get the original |
