| When starting out was there a collection you saw somewhere that really pushed you to collect, or a collection that was just so insane or well displayed that took hold of your imagination and made you rethink your own collecting to incorporate their ideas into your own or even go the same route? There are a few guys collections that I was floored by, in recent times it was Stephane Faucourt's Trilogo run, Mattias Rendahls Chirpa run (this one really was the focus collection that pushed me into a character focus!) and of course the fantastic JeffsMuseum.. he really has an insane collection of Vintage. I don't think there is anyone I really look up to or see as a mentor as such as more often than not I don't get to come into contact with any of the big names in collecting, however I feel I have many contemporaries in terms of collecting styles and ages and I am glad to call many of them my friends, its great to see them land some big pieces for their own collections |

| Oh I must add to this - Whilst I don't look up to anyone in particular as a SW guru or mentor - as a group the entire vintage community and all the people I have asked for help from or got information from have been great to me over the years, I have literally lost count of the brains I have picked for information not only on my own pursuits but for many different subjects.
Vintage collectors really do go that extra mile to help others and that really makes it all worthwhile ! |

| Good question Joe
Honestly the answer is no. That's not a jab or anything either. I love seeing collections in all forms and I even see pieces I wish I had but oddly enough nothing that moved me as a whole. Overall though, looking at collections increased my understanding of what's out there so I've learned a ton about the foreign market, bootlegs, etc.. As the saying goes "It takes a village to raise a child" except it's more like "It take the Limelight Section to raise Darthberizing" |

| When I first started collecting again I used Coco's site Lando's locker a lot. So I suppose I aspired to have as many variations as he does- I think I'm almost there. I don't look up to too many people but there are some collections that I appreciate a lot- Jeffs Museum, Jedidallas & Hyver's anti-focus for some reason I think is really cool to name a few. There are of course a lot of other TIG collections that are truely awesome. I will make special mention of 2 Germans that have always been willing to help me : the maniac and Uli As for non star wars Jay Leno & Lindsay Fox have car collections I would kill for. I remember an interview with Mr Fox who has an Enzo Ferrari he has NOT driven- because he is too busy |

| No, and no. I was well on my way before I even knew of the existence of other collectors. Well, maybe I did sneak a peek at Marc (theguiltyone)'s MIB collection a couple of times. |

| I never really looked up to anyone per se, but I have made some incredible friendships over the years that I wouldn't trade for anything. To me there is nothing like bouncing/sharing ideas with your fellow collector friends. That being said, there are some displays that I have found absolutely fascinating and aspire to emulate. Shane's Thall display, Mattias' display, and TroyJ's display (before it was stolen that is) and Marc's Luke X-wing display. I love to look at the limelights and see how people display their collections. For some reason Wouter's display I always keep coming back to as well. I just love the look of it - organized chaos. |

All the people that live right by me are so fkn boring they have nothing in common with me and they don't have shit. Everyone comes to see everything i got and get off.I have nowhere, no one, close by that has stuff like me.Dread's There is a house for sale across the street from me Double wooded lot, nice house you could probably get it cheap. It was foreclosed. Any of you guy's want to move in next to me.I could use a TIG bud close by,Wolff,Jimmy,Jay,Rob,Jason or James any of you guy's want to relocate to the State's?Hmmmm. Dan. |

| I've never really felt that I need to aspire to another collector's collection, but the big guys collections definitely helped add fuel to the fire. It was Sansweet's Concept to Collectible book that got me started, so I've always loved hearing the stories he shares about his collection and seeing pictures of it. I would never want a collection that big, but would certainly love to visit it.
The same would also have to be said about Gus. I found the archive in '95, the first time I got on the internet, at a friends house. That one event made me want to get online right away, so I could have some more time to soak in all the information that was already on there even then. I think also all of his articles on the coins helped generate even more interest in them for me. I knew at some point I would love to have a set and now I'm almost there. |
