| Okay it's pretty obvious we all like everything vintage and unmolested. But are there any exceptions to the rule?
I'm getting two Clipper Mailers Vaders, both sealed. I am really having a time with displaying a white box. I mean when people see I collect SW I think not showing a Darth Vader is a big faux pas.
Any thoughts? |

| Trade one of them for an opened box, and display them both... |

| I had the same dilemma with one of my Toltoys mailers, it still remains sealed. Even contemplated grading it (U!! ) I think if anybody (friend or collector) sees your collection the LAST thing they would be thinking is "mmmmm did I not see Vader?!!!" or you could open one & blame the postman/Frankie/dog/the maid....... ps. I'll swap an opened one for one sealed one |

| Easy to solve - buy an opened DV. By "chance" I have an bagged but out of the box (but with box) Clipper DV to sell. |

| Now wondering...how can you be 100% sure there are DV in the box and not chocolates, since they are sealed... |

| Personally I would keep one sealed and trade or sell the other, to pick up an open box, sealed baggie. |

| I'd do the same Chris. There's a limited number of sealed ones out there, so it would be a shame to open it! Besides, it appears John isn't short of offers to do a swap. |

| I know how you feel, I haven't opened mine and bought it over 5-6 years ago - plan is to pick up an opened one for my mailer display. There's plenty of DV focus collectors out there who may want a sealed one and hopefully they can repay the favour by helping you get a legit loose one/ baggie using their expertise to ensure that it a genuine specimen (i.e correct sabre, cape, baggie and seal) That way you won't need to open it to ensure you have the realy m'coy. From a business point of view; it make sense to trade down and make a small profit rather than damage your investment |

Thx to Alex I'm getting an open (but sealed baggie) Clipper Vader.
I actually found a guy with a bunch of these from overstock (okay is 5 a bunch)? Anyways, if anyone wants one, LMK |

| I wouldn't mind getting one, as both box and baggie of my Clipper/PBP Vader are open. But oh, Gosh, that sweet PBP perfum... Really, tell me how to get in touch with the seller. Thanks |

| Some collectors like myself enjoy knowing that the item has never seen light of day and is exactly like it was the day it arrived or was bought. Opening it would take away something I would like to buy in the future. To me opening it would be like opening a sealed rig or ship. This was discussed on SWFUK recently when one was X rayed and I gave it a big no then too. Glad to see you've found a solution without opening. |
