Mr. Legacy's Star Wars Collection 14995510

Mr. Legacy's Star Wars Collection 56462510

My Masterpiece!

Aussiefortuna here it is! My own DT saber. A little background history about this piece is that I bought it in a lot full of vintage star wars. This DT saber and that Kit bashed boba fett insert came in the exact lot so I believe that it is real. HOWEVER! I talked to a Darth Vader Expert and he tells me that its hard for him to tell whether it is or not from the pictures I took. I did both the float test and the blacklight test and they came back as real.

NICE buddy, im no DT expert so sorry i cant comment, but it looks old Smile

You could maybe put a thread about it on the main page, get some decent pics up, you might get closer to your answer, but it looks mighty sweet to me Smile cheers

Some clearer photos will definitely help then. As there are a lot of repros about. However, I don't know whether they pass the uv test.
Bill (Sithtoys) would be your best bet to help authenticate it.

Oh! Would you be prepared to let him examine it in hand?
If it is real, it would be quite a valuable piece.

I already thought about doing that. HOWEVER! I would need to be there in person to let anyone check it out. I understand it would be valuable but this would be my very first one, ever. and thanks for the comment on my collection cantina_patron

Thanks for the welcome, and no that isn't my kid hahahaha. How I got this pic was from a vintage star wars group on Facebook. A person was being funny and posted a pic in that group because the admin was horribly pissed off. I laughed at the image and told him that I would be stealing that pic.  :run2:

welcome  Mr legacy to TIG, awesome Very Happy  collection room mate. That giant R2 display looks cool.
Your DT does have markings mate, it has a dot on one side of the hilt, which is a good sign  Very Happy
could you put up picks of the inner saber as well?

thats a marking? and thanks for the welcome chris.75. Thanks for the compliment on collection as well. Just never knew a dot on one side of hilt would be considered a marking.

 phew

That is so great to hear - I have been wondering about the baby myself but didn't want to risk commenting on it for fear that it was you or your child . Now that its cleared up all I have to say is ...

I really don't know nearly enough about DT sabers to say if your saber is indeed authentic but , as Chris said , the dot is a very good sign of it being the real deal  Very Happy

Yep a dot is definitely considered a marking  Very Happy
just be super cautious taking the inner saber out, those things are really brittle and can snap quite easily  affraid

Thanks for posing the close up images of the Vader DT. That raised dot is definitely a good sign. Pass those images on to Bill.  Very Happy

Nice DT saber, I hope it turns out to be 100% legit.

Gotta find myself one of those one day, as my DT Luke is lonely.
