25usd is what they normally sell for here in Sweden in decent condition complete. I don't see it as high.
About auctions, the right people got to see the auctions, it might be in the middle of the month so no one got money until payday. Description isn't good enough its. When some people decide on that they want a specific item and someone bid over, I think they think that it's just a bit more, I can go up another bit, and keep doing that until it have run way past the value.
I got a fine example of this in one of my later auctions at tradera, I sold a cloth stand for barbie, new production. I sell them in my shop for 31kr, that's roughly 4-5usd. I expected it to sell for minimum bid of 1kr and the idea was just to promote my site a little. I saw the auction went up to 34kr and I thought that was pretty much perfect and didn't bother with the auction more since it was a week left on it. Then a few days later a customer sends an email telling me to check my auction and I didn't get what she was talking about. But in the end I checked the auction and it was at 310kr, that's 10x more then I sell them for in the shop so I added a note to the auction telling the ladies to stop bidding on it and I filled up the rest of the sum with other barbie items, the buyer was very happy. I think what happend was that the buyer put in a high max bid to be sure to win the auction and another person thought the same thing, normally this would probably just go up to maybe 50kr but now when two people did the same thing it went way above it's value.
