Anyone else catch the first episode of 'Collection Intervention' on the Syfy channel?

Was about two homes, one was a guy in love with Catwoman and hid his collection from his wife in the garage. The other was a married couple (no kids) with a 2-3 bedroom house FULL of Star Wars items, from vintage to modern. Everything from figures to large full size statues of 'Captain Rex'.

Anyway, I'm afraid that it's going to give people some false sense of what things are worth. A guy who came into 'buy' some of the couple's SW collection said that the Ewoks are more sought out than the big stars of the movies??? He also quotes the couple $15-20 for each Ewok (LOOSE w/NO accessories!)??? He then went on to offer $500 for about 40-50 figures laying on the ground in a pile that clearly didn't have figures lined up with any accessories. I don't think I even saw any.

Just hope it doesn't give people a false sense of value on some of these figures. Next thing I'll find a Teebo figure at a garage sale and the person asking $40 for it! Anyway... just wondering if anyone else caught the show.

I totally forgot about this show and I remember seeing the SW guy in the commercials.

These are all over exaggerated. I think the public at large has kind of made its peace with the fact that while it's based in reality, it's given a makeover for TV.

I love Pawn Stars, Hardcore Pawn, Storage Wars, etc.. but I watch them just like I watch a sitcom. I enjoy as entertainment, not as a documentary.

Tonight at 8 CST on the Travel Channel.... 'Toy Hunter' is going to run their first episode. Should be another interesting one.

This show is complete garbage. The initial rumor going around while the show was being put together was that it was
going to be a collector/hoarder type of theme, and low and behold - that's what it is. A lot of people won't even touch
it.
A glaring fact to consider is specific to the SW segment - Consetta WORKS for Steve Sansweet. So if she needed any type
of "help" regarding her collection, I would love to hear any reasonable or logical excuse why this outside "expert" was needed,
or how this guy from Super 7 somehow trumps Steve has her "go-to" person for SW items. - like I said, complete garbage
I think Swamp-Shark was more realistic than this show Wink

LOL, SO TRUE!

I was greatly disappointed with the show. I had been looking forward to it, but yes... it's crap. "The Ewoks are the most sought after figures" and "They sell for $10-20 a piece, loose".

WHAT?
