thanks for the messages guys. I really appreciate the comments.

I dont intend to completely leave the hobby just need to free up the funds for a few other things and then who knows.

But if you are really interested in some very cool chewie items then watch this space. Will get the first 5 or so items up by saturday night (UK time) and then will add new items as the original ones sell.

Jay - not sure yet mate. At the moment I intend to sell it all and then see if the bug hits again. I have comteemplated keeping a few bits and concentrating on one very precise area but again not sure what that would be - protos/a foreign MOC etc etc.

Stu - All is really good. I have got through the probation period in my new role and I am really enjoying it. I think it was my redundnacy at the back end of last year and 5 months out of work that has given me a new sense of the worth of money. For now the decision to sell is to pay off some debt (maybe even a chunk off my mortgage and/or maybe even buying a new house), have a really good holiday and generally just enjoy myself.

I still love vintage SW stuff and I am sure I will keep popping back into the forums to see what is going on.

Wow Steve! I remember when you chose to focus on Chewbacca. I'm glad that all is well and it sounds like you are selling for some good reasons. I hope some other aspect of collecting sucks you back in soon.

Hate to hear that Steve, but I know what you mean. When I was hit by being out of work last year, you do see things in a different light. But the bug does make its rounds and nibbles a bit. Now I believe its taken a chunk out now. Once everything settles and your checking out the site, you'll feel that nibble come on and you'll be back.

I don’t actually own a Chewie MOC believe it or not and Steve’s Chewie focus has always blown me away so if I managed to source a MOC from that collection it would be a privilege

I think the preproduction and foriegn stuff / hard to find /replace stuff would be what i would want to keep hold of.

Sad news Steve, but i know you'll keep in touch & keep an eye on the community from time to time. Good to hear you're enjoying life atm, that's the most important thing.

Sorry to see you sell up your kick ass collection Steve. It is a sight to see. But sometimes life gets in the way and losing the bug happens to all of us once in a while.

BTW Steve did you know the SWF has been back up and running for a few months? You know, with you being a mod there and all?

Like the rest of the guys Steve its a shame to hear you are breaking up what is a truly inspiring focus but I wish you all the best mate!

Well guys, I have had loads of messages from you so thanks for that and it has got me thinking again.

I have now decided that I am going to keep something out of my collection and start a new focus, but I just can't decide what. My perameters on thisare as follows:

1. It must be a limited focus, so maybe a particular cardback or foreign run.
2. I must be able to buy what I want for the focus at a reasonable rate.
3. This gives me the opportunity to sell or trade for new items.

So with this in mind I am going to postpone the first lot of stuff for sale until tomorrow.

I feel quite envigorated by this and I am really looking forward to starting the sale and also picking up some new items with the new direction, whatever that turns out to be.

So I will try and get the first lot of stuff up for sale by lunchtime tomorrow.
