New to forum and don't know if there already is a thread discussing this. I have a Darth Vader w/ Taiwan CoO, trying to make sure it has its proper saber. The saber that came with it looks like it has the right tip transition (gradual, not flat or rounded) but it doesn't have the round EPM on the hilt that's present on all my other Taiwan sabers. My question is, do all Taiwan Sabers have the round EPM or where there ones made without it? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Ron

If you go to accessories at imperialgunnery.com and look in lightsabers, it shows the Taiwan having the EPM circle on the hilt. There are other sabers that have the rounded transition and look similar to the Taiwan saber but aren’t from the Taiwan factory. There was also a Hasbro re-issue version that looks similar but with a shorter tip. Obviously, that’s not a Kenner release and came out more recently, but many sellers don’t realize.so I would think that if it doesn’t have the EPM circle, it’s got the wrong saber.

Imperial Gunnery weapon's guide says, the presence of an EPM on the hilt is also a good indicator. It doesn't say that it is present on all Taiwan sabers, that's what has me mift. Having a lettered hilt on a saber is a good indicator that the saber is authentic but there are alot of authentic sabers out there without lettered hilts. Just wish they'd say all Taiwan sabers have the EPM on the hilt, if that's the case. If anyone out there has pulled an original series Taiwan Luke, Ben or Vader off a card and found that the saber had no EPM on the hilt please let me know. I know it's not a big deal, I can just replace the one I have with a Taiwan with the EPM but this kind of stuff gets under my skin and drives me crazy.
