Help idenifying a green Luk Jedi sabre Empty
PostSubject: Help idenifying a green Luk Jedi sabre   Help idenifying a green Luk Jedi sabre I_icon_minitimeSun May 01, 2022 9:36 am

Hey peeps

Can anyone please help me in telling if this Luke Jedi sabre is an original. It was sold to me on Ebay by what seems to be a reputable seller as an original V3. It's difficult to tell by looking on the TIG pictures as this one seems to have a line down either side where the mould joins together and this is not mentioned on TIG, please see pics. This sabre sinks in water and am I right in thinking that originals are sinkers?

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

That looks to be a reproduction. Shouldn’t have that seam going down the side like that. Almost looks like the wrong color too. The hilt looks a little boxy too. See if it floats in water. Drop it on a hard granite like counter top and see if it makes a dull sound or a high pitched ping noise. Dull is the sound your looking for. But from pictures I’m about 99% sure that’s fake. File a return or use the eBay money back guarantee if the seller doesn’t accept returns. Either way, you’re getting your money back.

Thanks u137556. It was mainly the seam down the side that made me suspicious. Do you know if originals are supposed to float or sink? This one is definitely a sinker.

They will definitely float for sure. Most reproductions I get (I’m a re-seller) all sink. Some take a little while to sink too, so push it down with your finger a few times to make sure. And also have that high pitched “ping” noise when dropped on a hard kitchen counter surface (granite).
