I suspect I may have gotten a new repro Cloud Car Pilot comlink - I've been staring at pictures for a few hours now, and am hoping the experts here will be able to tell!



It looks to me like it COULD? be a V2, but there are no EPMs on the back. I'm sure it's out there, but I couldn't find anything stating concretely that all V1 and V2 comlinks have an EPM. Can someone confirm whether that is a true statement?

This one does float, but looks a lot like some new repros out there that have really good molds and float - and coincidentally have no EPMs.

Any advice is appreciated!

Here are some pics of the blaster that came along with it.

I was able to compare the blaster to several originals I have and noted the following differences:
1. The bottom of the grip is wider on the suspected repro.
2. The indented line along the bottom of the gun ABOVE the grip is very well defined on the original, and much wider  on the suspected repro.
3. The square section from the top on all my originals indent/dimple a bit, and the suspected repro is completely flat.

And the kicker - which I can't get a good picture of - with both the blaster and the com, under magnification, and with the right light, lines/circles/chains appear. As if it might be 3D printed. Are they smart enough to 3D print the mold edge though?
